The Rabbitohs play like they did against Melbourne, and we have our hands full - and then some... they stop the dropsies, and unleash that power game and they are a handful...

I agree, f**k the points differential, just grind our good performances (and therefore mainly wins) and what will be will be

here here. focus on our defence being upto par rather than get into a scorefest when lazy habits come creeping back. Defence wins at the pointy end of the comp,.Always has, always will

Our defence is great. I'm not suggesting we should go into the game expecting to win by 40, what I am saying is that if we get on top, get 10-16 points up earlyish, I'd like to see us really go for the jugular. Teams who are out of contention for finals don't defend and defend when they're 3-4 tries down and being put under the pump. They go 'this isn't worth it' and chuck up their hands. Course if it gets into a grind like the Storm had to last week, we handle that too.

I've just done the season predictor - as if I can ever pick my nose in the NRL - and we finish 8th on point diff - which unfortunately nets us the defending champions at home by my count.

Some absolutely huge matches in the last 4 weeks though, us v Tigers a 4-point game as are the Tigers playing the Panthers and Titans, then those two sides playing each other. The draw has worked out very juicy in terms of the fringe 8 teams playing each other over the last 5 weeks.

Loads of good games coming up...will be an exciting few weeks that's for sure.

IF we were able to win 3/4 or even jag a win in Cowboy's land, I think we'll get 6th spot.
Broncos have Cowboys, Storm, Eels and Roosters. Based on form, Broncos drop the two against Storm and Cows, and they lost to Roosters not too long ago, could be a potential banana skin game for them.

Panthers are our biggest competition as they have a better differential AND they play the Knights soon, so potentially that gives them a bigger bumper against us. They play the Tigers, Titans and Manly too, so lots of if's and buts there.

I'm happy for the Tigers, Titans and Panthers to fight it out for 8th while we win everything and are sitting pretty at 6th :p

In contrast to those teams that can't make the finals in 2016 (and, to an extent, those that are guaranteed a finals place) this 'living on the edge' stuff seems to be bringing out the best in us.

Whoa! hold em horses back bro - we are only now getting into the real money rounds - we haven't been living on the edge yet but are now approaching it and exactly where we have crumbled many times in recent past.

I wasn't fooled for a second by the Broncos' big win over Parra. No team should worry too much about going there and playing them in a final, and even less so, of course, playing them away from Brisbane.

They just don't look good at all. Individual brilliance from Milford got them the win last night.

Im more heartened by the signs that Parra have given up for the year and will hopefully give us two points and a for and against boost in the final round.

Also Manly are now officially goneburgers. Ten teams left, 2 spots up for grabs for four teams.

Tedesco looks to have a broken jaw with the amount of blood coming from his mouth after a falling high shot.
Tigers win prob better for us if he is gone for season.

So season looks cooked.
But if the script plays anything out like Warriors can only do.
We will beat Cowboys.
Then go on to beat Tigers.
We will need to beat Eels by 12.
So we will either win by 10 or lose by 20+.

Let's watch!

Every year I always dread your Dr Death post.

I don't believe that was it though. There's too much hope left in that scenario.

Yeah, need to win 3 from 3 I think...not impossible, but difficult. Anyway, I guess the point is that we are fringe finalists, in or out, at best

Panthers looking to finish off the Knights, was close at half time.
But Knights faded in second half
So a +37 points diff vs our -26 (63 points)
And more importantly 2 points in front.

Not sure if the Roosters beating Cowboys is a good or bad thing?
Hopefully confidence down, not motivated more to win at home!

Titans could go one from three in which case we only need to win two. Their games against the Panthers and avows could go either way.

We want the Titans to get beaten by the Knights, but that won't happen.

Who do we want to win? The Panthers or the Tigers?
