10 point win for us gives us a buffer points diff against Titans. Need Cowboys to do a number on the Tiges.

Points difference is pretty much irrelevant now with the Titans as they're on an odd number of competition points after their draw last week. We've got 3/4 remaining games at home now, we need two more wins to book a finals spot. With any luck Thurston will be put when we play the cows and we could even get some points up there.

Nah, stupid Tigers winning keeps them in the hunt. Could have pulled away if they had lost. Geez they looked good though, our game against them could end up being huge.

Yeah that really makes things interesting. I wonder how much of that performance was the Leichhardt factor though, let's see if they can bring that game to Mt Smart.
We've now won the first two of our three 4 point games against the other contenders for spots 7 & 8 so so far so good.

The Tigpies are part of a huge pool of teams (us included) which will have some very good games "on their day" but can flop any minute and won't be there in the big dance at the end.

We'll be there, seventh or so, and will probably turn in a spirited performance with two or three abysmal muff ups to cost us the game. Can't help dropsies, but we can at least get guys in position.

sharks away Lose (correct)
Tits at home Win (correct)
Bye
Manly away Win. (wrong)
Raiders away Lose (Correct)
Panthers home Win (Correct)
Tits away Lose (happy to be incorrect)
Soufs home Win
cowboys away Lose
Tigers home Win
Eels at home Win

4 games left, 3 home games against teams lower than us. We will all three of those games and we will finish 7th. We lose one of those three, and we can slip down to 9th.

I think we are in a good spot to make the 8 now but still, with the roster we have, finishing 7-8 shouldn't have us jumping for joy.

We should be a top 4 team.

I was glad to be wrong today also.
If Luke was there I would of tipped us with our history, but thought he had been a big reason for us going well.
I guess Titan disruption of Roberts out and the Hype of Hayne was bigger.
Both teams played golden point last week, but you would swear we had the bye the way commentary was going on about Titans golden point.

ok, we want the Roosters to win tonight.

Be nice for the Bulldogs to beat Manly on Friday and for the Eels to beat the Broncos. Be AWESOME if the Knights beat the Panthers on Sunday too.

Not too worried about the Manly result, they're only mathematicals now anyway. Agree on the others, would be good to see the Broncos keep sliding and hopefully the Titans knock over the Tigers, as that would get us ahead of both sides on competition points assuming we beat Souffs.

yeh the aftermatch interview with Tits was similar shit. Half of the 10mins was about playing the Sharks etc on monday, short turnaround, golden point, boys are tired, boohoo. Typical Aussie bullshit. We were the travelling team, so obviously we get one more day and we also went nearly 90mins last week, not to mention the other 4 GP games this year.

Bulldogs likely, Eels unlikely and Knights no hope.
Would be nice to finish 6th from here to get a home semi final for NZ fans.

Panthers finally clicking into gear tonight

Shit little Ivan is a special one, if you kept Ivan around a few more years a Johnson/Cleary combo could have been something to watch

Always find it very hard to tip a team after they play a Monday game, for some reason it seems very few of them can come up again for the next weekend, saw that in the Sharks match too

Also Golden point doesn't help if 5 day turn around, Mon to Sat.
Let's hope Panthers don't back up well, they just took a 10point differential over us.

We really need the Knights to do a job for us on the Panthers. They are at home on a Sunday arvo so it could potentially be a boilover.. Wishful thinking I know.

Not sure who we want/need to win in the tigers titans game? Someone to win by 1 point deep in golden point or a even a draw maybe?

Really though our destiny is in our own hands.. win all the remaining matches and we are guaranteed a finals spot and have a shitload of momentum to do some damage

The Rabbitohs play like they did against Melbourne, and we have our hands full - and then some... they stop the dropsies, and unleash that power game and they are a handful...

I agree, f**k the points differential, just grind our good performances (and therefore mainly wins) and what will be will be
