I'm not saying that the Dragons and Cowboys will go virtually winless.

I'm just saying that our draw should expect to see maybe 2 losses. So, if this was to happen and the Dragons lose at least 3 then we take them. If the Cowboys lose at least 4 then we take them. I don't see the Dragons winning that many so I'd say we'll take 7th.

The Cowboys...well, I don't hold the Raiders victory as any great sign. Canberra have gone to shit. I still think the Cowboys are 50/50 and that works in our favour.

I think the interesting one is the Broncos. They seem to be losing a bit of steam. I don't want us to get ahead of ourselves but playing them twice might work in our favour as that is, essentially, the difference between us finishing above them or not if all other things are equal.

I just don't like this "scrape into the 8" mindset. Not with our draw. I want the team to be aggressive about their positions and prospects. If they are, and it comes off, then that's a good position to head into the finals at.

Same as the Dragons game before the bye, this week's game is a huge opportunity. The following players will likely be missing from the Storm lineup - Smith, Cronk, Slater, Chambers, Glasby, Munster as well as as McLean and Welch through injury

We have our own troops missing though - Kritchard, Fritchard, Scott, Ma'u (I'm guessing), Terepo, Auva'a and Hoff... most of these blokes we've now played without for the last couple of weeks so we should be less disrupted than them. Storm will still field a decent forward pack which is our weakness at the moment. It's going to be a tough game

Storm / rooster / broncos are all good chances of having a post origin slump and dropping a couple of unexpected games.

Nope, but I saw something in us on Thursday that reminded me of us last year, and that's winning ugly and showing some grit and steel, the way we won was the most pleasing part about Thursday.

i don't think we can "scrape into the 8" everyone around us has better for & against than we do
we have to win enough games to get in outright

We will make the 8 pretty comfortably and give a good show in the finals imho.

The only sides that really scare me in finals are storm and possibly sharks. Roosters i cant work out and broncs are hit and miss.

I almost think we could go on a 2009 finals run if we end our season with momentum.
