Roosters only put 50 on us when we play at SFS.

Is there a way we can avoid that? Only way I can think of is if we avoid meeting each other until the Qualifier. That would be at ANZ, wouldn't it?

Finals within touching distance now with tonight's win. 3 more wins from our last 7 will get us to 13 and i think that should be enough to end our 8 year finals drought.

We should now be aiming for a top four finish, scraping into the eight from here with our draw would be under achieving. ( yeah I know it's Parra we're talking about here ) How well we play against the Donkeys will be crucial, obviously to take points from them but also, probs need to win one of those games as we are always likely to lose one or two of the other games against teams beneath us

Five wins would see us go awful close. The teams now realistically vying for a top four finish play amongst each other a fair bit over the final rounds ( Including us vs. Donkeys ) so plenty of potential for losses for those teams that are above us.

As it stands, I don't think we are as yet playing like we deserve top four, but I don't reckon we are that far off either.

I have us on 34 points and finishing 7th after losing to Brisbane twice but winning the rest. An improved f/a may see us sneak past the Dragons into 6th.

Melbourne and Sharks to win the remainder of their games and finish 1 & 2.
Brisbane could conceivably win all but 1 to the Sharks.
Roosters to lose to Storm and Sharks only and finish in 4th on 38 pts
Manly will only lose 2 more (Storm and Roosters)
St George should sneak away with 6 wins (lose to Manly and Brisbane)
Cowboys will get only 4/8 with losses to Roosters, Sharks, Storm and Brisbane.

* not guessed win margins so ignore +/-

I'm too scared to use the ladder predictor. Don't want to jinx anything.

Still seems weird to think we might be playing finals football this year.

I find it much more stressful now that we're expected make the eight.
Back when we were shit there was much less expectation

Feels odd to be right in the mix this time of year, just hope the lads stay composed and go on with the job we have a good draw and could really move into 5th, 6th or 7th.

I think they will. I think we'll lose a couple of games we should win, not just against Brisbane.

The Dogs and Titans are a bit of a danger to us. Souths are a bit unpredictable too with their younger players.

Tigers and Newcastle I think we'll account for comfortably.

One week at a time you merkins!

Having said that, if we do make the Finals then getting drawn to play the Dragons in the first week would be a good outcome for us.

Big threat here is Rnd 19, that Bye team are usually easybeats but we are talking about Parra here. Based on that list should ideally win at least 6 maybe 7.

Great win against depleted Storm, I was scared that was a danger game. After the bye we need to establish our momentum.

Still think we'll split the Broncos games one win each, but if we can win the first clash (R21) we're a chance of winning 5 straight games - which should give us some breathing space to carry a loss or even rest some players carrying niggles.

Go Parra!

Its not the Broncos games that worry me. We need to stay switched on against the teams we are meant to beat.
