The reason I was asking is because their choice of Brown would most likely reflect the structure that their current side has.

The question may be - "Who would you most like to build a side around?", but a coach will always answer in terms of the gun player in the competition that their side is presently lacking. Clearly Wallace believes his side needs more grunt up forward.

& it is someone who has been quoted as lamenting the fact we didn't draft Pavlich, yet he still chose Brown.

I don't remember who the others were, there were 6 people but only 4 got asked that question, Brereton was 1 of the six but from memory he didn't get that question.

They weren't all coaches.

As for Judd, I'd honestly take Deledio or Griffen ahead of him in a heartbeat.
You're kidding right?
Deledio maybe but Griffen??

Anyhow I can't understand how Daniel Kerr goes 1 vote away from winning a brownlow and than drops 5 spots?

Keep pushing the media line, Cammers...

Hodge was better than Judd last season, is smarter, more skilled and has greater diversity.

He still has go up while Judd has none.

Still, I'm hoping that people keep massively overrating Judd and underrating Hodge, as its bad for the Eagles and good for us.

Like the media line of Pav being number 1? I dont take anything the media says seriously. I honestly think Judd is a champion.

Hodge plays in a team that over uses the ball and shares it around waay to much in the midfield, so ofcourse hodge will get more of the ball and get more chances to do something with it.

I dont underrate Hodge, he is a good player and will only get better, but you have to understand the difference between Hawthorn and West Coast and that difference comes it to it alot when you compare Hodge to Judd.

The team may overuse the ball (although early signs suggest a refinement of this in 2006), but Hodge has never been accused of the same. He is a long-kicking player who always looks to attack, even if caught alone near his defensive boundary, he will look to go forward, not to the line (as 99% of players will).

You don't lead competition centre clearances by being fed ball from teammates.
