BA has done a great job reinstalling us back to competitiveness but it's probably time on his tenure. The cracks are starting to appear and have probably been there for a while now. Players start getting sick of the same voice. BA admitted it as much in 2018. We have given him another 5 years since then. It's more than likely time to do a reboot and start fresh with a new coach and new ideas and with it put a massive broom through the joint.
I think the phrase should be clearer.

No, I’m not but I am concerned about the one thing that wins comps and that is defence. Even last year we were the 8th best defensive team despite making a grand final.
I am. I've seen enough. I don't think we've got the squad to contend for the title this season. I don't think the Sharks or Storm contend for the title either.
We overachieved last year by making the GF. I still think we can go pretty deep again this year. Need to tighten up our defence though.
Given my points before, I don't think that is going to happen.
I think the competition, at least for the Top 8, will be alot closer this year. Last year there was probably only 10 teams capable of making the Top 8 half way through the season. I think this year it's potential that number could be 14 or 15 at the same stage.

Unlikely, but I still think we’ll have pretty good season. I get that BA should probably be rissoled if we aren’t premiers. Depends though, if we play really well next week he might be a great coach again.
The incremental difference that coaching speed might create is so minor that you wouldn’t be able to tell if any player has reached his potential unless you have access to their 40m sprint times. But as a football fan watching him run, you won’t be able to tell if Gutho is 0.02sec faster. That is the kind of minor difference that coaching speed might produce as an adult rugby league player.
Fair point re fickleness. A good season is at minimum making the top 8... and given BA's duration (and rumoured KPIs from last season) also into the final 4.

So why do we have an inferior squad? Because we as a club we f**ked up and let 2 players go in particular that would be very handy now.

Yes but they didn’t try and change their players minds like we did with Papali’i. Mahoney himself questioned his decision. You should pounce on shit like that. I hate the little cauliflowered merkin but he is Cameron Smith compared to this geriatric we have now.

If we release Nathan Brown we would. Apparently we had the money already for Papali’i if he changed his mind. Which is why we are looking at Sironen regardless of what Moses was/is doing.
