Only plays well against the shit teams and always is put in his place against the top clubs. Probably our most overrated player. I also think he's a bit of a cat.

Im sure our style isnt suiting Matto. Lets face it, BA plays all his forwards as middles. Lots of hit ups required and with our D so compressed they are virtually defending the middle. Matto is very noticeable with his slowness off the ground in D. He's often left at the PTB.

While i dont disagree he looked a much more better player at Roosters and Tigers..playing a bash up merchant is not his go..
Move him to the middle or the left...looks shit on the right..
I think he has a few mates to enter with him if I'm being honest and the higher/ highest paid players are on overs

THAT is the issue - while Matterson is a big body, his playing style is to rely on his ability, and skill.

Arthur has him playing as a brute.

He never played that way for Easts, or Wests.

And he is still a great defensive player.

I think its fair to say our premiership window has slammed shut. What an awful shame with such a talented roster. It may take significant time to restore what is currently being under utilised.

Fergo was a tough choice because he has had a great career but has always been a peanut who consistently makes awful decisions in defence. Has moments of brilliance but at close to $500k a year I bid you farewell.

Maika Sivo is lazy, cannot keep up with the play and only good close to the line. Usually gets found out by opposition wingers with some ticker. His carries are flaccid for a man his size.

Nathan Brown. The handbrake. A mixture of Martin Lang and a 40 year old Paul Gallen. Running with an angry face but making about 2m post contact is not NRL standard. You have also become a lazy defender around the ruck. No wonder Manly pulled their offer and you stayed. They saw the light. It’s a shame BA didn’t.
