Oh great let's re-sign the Coach with the worse record in the History of club, and I thought things were going to get better under 3P
he ranks 20th of our 27 coaches @ 23.1 win %I'd say there have been several Parra coaches with much worse records. Have you forgotten how many times we've won the spoon?
What frustrates me is that it's not just individual performances, it's the fact we don't play as a team. The players don't seem to have any confidence in each other's abilities and cannot read their team-mates plays. That's something the coach has to address. Hasler in one off season has got the Bulldogs playing as a team and they're getting the results from it.

maybe they thought they were signing Ken Kearney
What gets me is that he drops Luke Burt after Round 1...merely a week after announcing Burt as his first choice kicked for the season ahead...
Very curious...
May be more too this
I am pro kearney, but you're spot on here. While evident in patches it just isnt good enough at the moment.
As in previous posts i am prepared to be patient, but then i see how the doggies boys have reacted to hasler and it makes me think . . .
before he signed with us it was mentioned Kearney had knocked back coaching roles, he did not take the first job he was offered.Hasler took over a squad that had their buying spree last year - so all their players have been together for at least a year. Do you think he'd go to a club that didn't have a strong roster? He's a high profile coach mate. He wouldn't go somewhere if he couldn't have immediate success.
High profile coaches can pick and choose which clubs they go to. Basket cases like the Eels have to make do with rookies or coaches like Daniel Anderson. Trust me, if Kearney had more experience there's no way he would have chosen the Eels. Not unless he'd gone years without winning anything (e.g. Brian Smith in 1997).
On top of that the Bulldogs have had no significant injuries. Hasler's got it easy.
Interesting that even back when it was amateur footy, all coaches who had a win/loss record of around 20% didn't coach past one season, except for Jack Raynor 1958-60.
Kearney played down being under pressure, despite his side only recording six wins in 27 games under his leadership.
