No harm in putting Jarryd in cotton wool for one more week and playing Burt if he wasn't 100%, it is early in the season. Now we might be without him for an extended period and that is the difference playing Burt could have made.
And that's a call that the medical and coaching staff have to take responsibility for, imo.

Here's hoping the knee is not too serious for Hayne, maybe another week or two off rather than a potential 4 or 6 or longer.... :?

I'm surprised that Loko hasn't been mentioned as a replacement for Esi.... I rate Loko better than Esi anyway, I thought he was pretty ordinary all round tonight..... and don't get me started on Keating! how we ever let Mitchell go for him I'll never know.

Loko's out for the season...

Hey FACEBOOKERS. I popped some scar tissue from my injured knee tonight. No major ligaments. Rolling with the punches ATM. hoping to be back ASAP.

Thats what he posted on facebook

No Burt would have made no difference on the result at all. But looking at Jarryd in the warm up, he didn't look quite right and those are the risks you run.

True. That's the only affect Burt would have had.

I keep jumper leads in my car in case I ever get a flat battery.

Like making sure one of your wingers can play fullback? Check.

If Burt had played he would've read the play better when the Warriors broke the line and still wouldn't have stopped the try.

Tough game tonight. The boys dug very deep after Hayne went down and nearly pulled it off. No need for doom and gloom IMO, but of course there will be plenty who just can't help themselves. Fingers crossed for Hayne but it sounds promising.

with sio ,blair playing well the only time burt will play is to cover hayne or if sio moves to fullback. when hayne went down it was directly in front of me (bay65) i can tell you heads went down big time,we were flying before that..

We played a team that fought for the title last year while we fought to avoid the spoon
28-24 down we were still in it.
I think while dissappointing to lose, the new kIds were good and will only improve

I'll be interested to see who Kearney spends the free space in next years cap on. I assume that Burt, Smith, Hindmarsh and possibly Shack & Poore won't be at Parra next season. It'll be interesting to see who he is able to attract.

Thanks for posting that, love the post-match interviews. :thumn

Mannah replying that "not much changed once he (Hayne) came off"...

Kearney: "I thought a couple of their tries were soft." (You're not wrong, missed Horo and Morgan's defence imo.)

Kearney: "I guess it coincided with Jarryd, but I don't know that it was because of Jarryd you know, that we lost our way."

We can redeem a heck of a lot by beating the cowboys up there next week

If we lose, well its 0-3 for the year, and a long season looms

Not much if we continue to lose.

There is still a place for burt in the team but its only at #14 off the bench in my eyes. He could cover a backline injury and even though I have never seen him at #9 I think we wouldnt loose anything replacing Keating I dont rate him.
