I must agree with an earlier post on here. Yes I'm worried and yes I'm nervous about what SK brings to the table and yes part of me can't help but doubt his ability but I agree that the boys are trying their guts out and seem to be having a dig....personally I think our biggest issue is the lack of a damaging, ball playing backrower our back rowers don't even look like busting a tackle or popping a ball...losing Mateo was massive. Yes he plays risky footy but he creates havoc and can break the line, pop balls and create try's......

Agree ,we get metao back at all costs.
Agree too that fui was struggling with fitness, he always does this early

I think next weekend Kearney should get out their and do all the tackling for the boys..

Why are people so obsessed with blaming the coach so early in the season?
My opinion is that he does not come across as an inspirational person, I think a nice guy? but not inspirational does the team want to play for him? I think not, this is where Kearney falls down, and i challenge people to say otherwise!

OK before I start I would like to confirm I have been a supporter of SK and his appointment. HOWEVER last night he was our worst performer!

Granted we were down to a 3 man roster after Hayne's injury but his use of the bench last night was unbelievably poor and quite simply not up to 1st grade standard. In my opinion there was 4 monumental errors.
Error 1: Both front rowers coming off in the 19th minute after the Warriors 1st try
I can live with this but would much prefer to see front rowers coming off when under pressure and not after a try against.
Error 2: Game in the balane in the 66th minute Pat Ohanlan missed about 4 tackles in one set of 6. The next sety of 6 The Warriors ran at him again and the rest is history.
Error 3: Matt Keating is not an 80 minute player. For mine he played well until fatigue kicked in and his distribution then got sloppy. He subbed Paulo for McGuire??? WTF
Error 4: And this one was the worst of the lot. With the game in the balance after Chris goes in for his 2nd FFMM takes a hit up coming out of our own line. Everyone at the ground saw that he had injured himself in the hitup. We got a repeat set of 6 in which FFMM struggled to participate. He took our 5th tackle and was clearly LAME! We hand the ball over on the last and just like Ohanlan The Warriors ran straight at our LAME player and went in to score the match winning try, and what do you know SK subs FFMM off immediately following the try!
For mine his use of the bench last night was diabolical. Granted it was a 3 man rotation but Poore who I thought played OK when on only played the 1 stint!!
Just cannot understand that when we clearly had other players on nthe field struggling for fitness.

Not sure if others noticed this but for mine SK is on notice after that disgrace last night.
I think his bench rotations have been poor from day dot!

I would be ecstatic if someone could tell me how Geoff Toovey comes in for Manly and they have not missed a beat with all the uproar over the season, granted he has been at Manly for a while, at the same time Kearney is a World Cup "winning" coach and was mentored by Bellamy, can someone please tell me whenwas the last game we won, before our Titans win, yes were much improved on Monday night as I was there though felt it was a game the warriors always were going to win, because of our mental floors (weak), by the way guys I am a season ticket holder and love this club, personally even this early in the piece I dont thik Kearney is the right person, cheers.

the lead up to their second last try was interesting, Fui received a knock when taking the ball up on our 40m line and was slow to get up, he was looking towards the bench for some reaction. He then took the ball up again and was slow to get up looking towards the bench, seemed to be slightly injured. Nobody moved from the bench to see what the problem was, you could tell from Fui body language he wanted to come off.

The warriors now had the ball and Fui was still looking to the bench but no movement, he then went for a big hit that was half successful and moved slowly to the blind, not moving freely. The kiwis noticed this and then directed play towards him and not being free to move properly easily ran around him and scored.

Fui was stilll looking towards the bench and finally they had Mannah up and Fui walked straight off, got his legged looked at and put ice on it.

I believe if he was replaced earlier like he seemed to indicate he needed we still may have been in the game. I think at rthat stage we still had 3 change overs left.
Agree, I noticed that at the game and the Warriors quite calmly and successfully made the most of it.

Fui had copped a cork or something about 5 mins before that try was scored down the side where he was next to Sandow (who missed a shoulder charge). A more responsive eagle eye in the stands talking to the training crew might have sorted that out in time - but I guess we'll never know.

Did you see Horo play this year, no way should he have been picked.

A move to Wenty should inspire him to improve, basically did not deserve a spot this week

Way to remove the context of those comments Bart..but I know you're not trying highlight one opinion over another or push your opinion over any other.

Of course you could outline what it is you are trying to imply with your selective quoting..
Feel free to type and post the whole transcript then H, if you feel there's a context those comments are lacking or you have a different opinion.

And I don't push things over any other - I just post my opinion in a thread once and leave it at that, unless someone decides to quote and reply to it.... I expected more than "following the leaders" and playing the man rather than the ball. :?

I saw Horo in Round One. His first half was great and (like many others) his second half faltered.

But Horo's 39 tackles in Round 1... plus Hindy's 50-odd - that's what we missed last night in the team selections, imo. I think he adds more to the 17 than POH at any rate.

Horo and Morgan weren't absent against the Broncos. So he must have been wise in round 1??
I thought their defence went a long way to ensuring that we went to halftime having kept the Broncs scoreless. The whole thing came unstuck across the park after half-time of course, but I personally thought Horo's tackles and Morgan's defence are worth keeping in the 17 (as perhaps proven last night).

I thought Horo had shocking trials by all reports but his round 1 first half performance was very good. He was knackered in the 2nd and should've been interchanged.

I still think Kearney hasn't mastered reading the game as it goes especially with his interchange. Mk and Casey on at the same time, WTF? and then replace Casey when MK was knackered?

Poore not getting another run? unless he was injured but there were no reports on that.

Horo in round 1 knackered and not interchanged.

And then last year's Billy Rogers and some other bench player not getting a run.

There's reasoning as to why Horo shouldn't have been dropped for the Warriors. But his defence is certainly not one of them. He seems a promising player and he's probably the only backrower in our side who looks like making even a half break. But if there's one thing he needs to work on it's his defence on the edges.

I think most people agree with the dropping of Horo and Morgan. I like Horo and was one of those that wanted him to come into grade but he's too inconsistent and needs to pull his finger out. A few games in reserve grade wont do him any harm. It's looks like Lasalo got the message. He played out of his skin. In the first game Against the broncs we had no attack and were too defensive. I think we are slowly getting the balance right.

Good points. I still think the reason why we lost a lot of games at the death last year was because players were too knackered in the last 10 to 15 minutes due to misuse of the bench.

Yes Horo was crap in the trials.

I guess I'm assuming, due to your recent posts, that you are having a go at Tim's comment. Seeing as it's not clear what you are having a go at I can only assume you are mocking the comment as, again due to your recent post history, I doubt you are agreeing with him that even when Jarryd went off the guys were trying to play with the same positive attitude they had played the first 16mins with. (that was the context of the comment)

With the last comment I'm not really sure what you are trying to say. Again I am assuming mockery and that you disagree but as you have left out the surrounding stuff I can't be sure.

I tend to read this forum on my phone so posting blocks of text is not really that easy so I'll pass on that. I watched the press conference though and it is my opinion that you are not being fair on especially Tim with what you took from his answer and Steve in the way you quoted him.

That's my opinion and is based on assumptions so feel free to correct those assumptions.
