Very good debut by Humble.

He should be in the team from this point on. I would drop M. Keating to Wenty, we know what he can and can not do, not much is going to change there and give Humble the opportunity to develop and grow into a first grader and show us what he is capable of. I think he has got much more potential to offer the team greater flare then MK would ever do.

If he's 14 u upset the balance of the team he's a half/fullback no point making him into a hooker. He will play plenty of first grade in what position remains to be seen.

Dear Tom

Well done in getting the No.1 jersey for this weeks game vs Sharks. You best get in some bomb catching practice over the next few days as Sticky will have Timmy launching grenades at you all night on a wet Saturday night at the Stadium.

Best regards,
Gronk

PS. Congrats on becoming Eel number 716 (?) last night.

Dear Gronk - does it really have to be a wet Saturday night?
I was hoping to get my drink on.

Love Jess

Very solid debut for him under tough conditions

although, one minor thing considering the hype of his speed I was shocked that he got run down.

No one said you need to be Usian Bolt quick to play this game, but based on that he'd be behind Grothe, Burt, Tahu and Hayne in the 100.

Yeh, Humble debuted very well IMO. He worked hard in defence was pretty good with the ball. He deserves to play more first grade.

yea - but why would you change a 4 game winning streak team?

Well considering MK's contribution imo has been minimal to date it is hardly a major change and in keeping with always looking for the best possible blend of players to be playing in first grade.

I was ready for him not to be up to this level.

But he was. Not spectacular, but not flawed in any way either.

I was worried about the combo with Morts, and Morts hasn't seemed as strong as KK, but Humble seemed stronger and more confident that Morts at times so it worked ok.

In hindsight, probably a good idea to blood him this week given we somehow got two backs in the Origin side. Did well (and better than expected) in such a vital game.

Well done Tom , and well done to the team for all having a good dig around him for the 80 mins.

I spoke with Matt Parish , Cowboys assistant coach, and he is filthy they lost Tom.

This kid did not look overawed at all. Even had a bit of a push & shove with watmough. Just doesnt take a backwards step & looks so calm with the ball. Didnt try to overplay his hand at all.

I just wish mortimer had the same poise.
I loved it when he gave Watmough a shove. He has guts, great defence and scored a try in my books. Great debut and can't wait to see what he brings tomorrow. Early in the peace he seemed to be naturally directing a few players from dummy half and first reciever before the reigns were handed over to Hayne. He showed a lot of confidence for a !st timer. I think he definately has potential as a half.
