THE TOUGHEST RUN EVER

The toughest run ever
In this predicament, we never thought, ever
The Giltinan Shield, to sudden death
Now, we fight, to our very last breath
This is where, we'll find our glory
This is it, the bigger story
What about the Spartans? Three hundred
Fought to the last man, all of them dead
We'll beat the Broncos, on their home blade
Jamie! Bomb out the sun, we'll score in the shade
This is the first, of three big acts
Brisbane, then Melbourne, they'll lay in our tracks
Let's not finish, fifth or whatever
Bring it on now, the toughest run ever

Let's head, to that cauldron up north
Come on boys, we are Kings, go forth
Let's go up, to Wayne's old backyard
Where many a Blues man, has walked away scarred
Tear apart, the Fortress Suncorp
One step closer, to that Grand Final door
Come back with those jumpers, bloodied and torn
This is how, league legends are born
Yes, Brisbane, this very tough side
Come Saturday, they'll have nowhere to hide
Bring on Lockyer, Folau and Thaiday
We're from the South, boys, make our day
Let's play smart, let's play clever
Kick it off now, the toughest run ever

Yes, this is, the toughest run ever
One step at a time, the end of our tether
There's Wendell, Darius, and Wayne
Our spies form up there, we'll drive them insane
"The Battle of Brisbane," this will become
Whispered by grandchildren, in years to come
2001, same game, Wendell starred
This time, our Ace, the winning trump card
Forget what could have been, what should have been done
We are the Saint George Boys, let's go and have fun
Don't go down, in a blaze of glory
This, the beginning, a wonderful story
Show the whole world, we believe, forever
show them all, the greatest run ever!

I dont see how it could be the toughest run ever when you played the eight placed team an dnow you got the sixth place team , could be a lot harder than that

Consider the Bulldogs lucky they lost to the Tigers.

I'd much rather play Titans and Bulldogs then Brisbane at Brisbane/Melbourne at Melbourne.

I can't see the big deal here-

The Broncos have been up and down all year - The dragons will easily put them to the sword IMO-

Then they have the storm who will be as rusty as hell for having the week off- barring injuries I think the dragons are still a good thing to atleast get to the GF-

The only red hot side right now is PARA- and they wont met them again unless they get to the GF...

lol

Isn't that what you were hoping for... a week off?

UNF- we got a few months of as a tigers supporter...:(

IMO I think the week off is generally a disadvantage- with the exception of perhaps getting injured players back (bulldogs) it always seems to take 60 minutes of football to get any rhythm....

What, as rusty as they were in 2006-07 where they went on to win both those preliminary finals after having the week off? :sarcasm:
