To me this is very realistic with addressing the issues regarding F2A advertising:

4 Games on F2A + 5 on Foxtel + Internet Mobile

F2A H&A + Finals Advertising - $110 million minimum
Rep Matches Advertising - $20 million
=$130 million/season (not including the halo) minimum

Internet - $25 million minimum
5 Foxtel games & Sky TV - $85 million minimum - but should net more

Total - $240 million minimum a season - that's the $1.2 billion figure

And I can see F2A cough up to the upper ad limit (another $20 million and if Foxtel go split with the T-box say another $15 million)

Total - $275 million maximum a season - that's about $1.38 billion

9 Games on F2A (but split into 7 time slots only) + Internet (No Foxtel)
F2A H&A + Finals Advertising - $150 million minimum - even though you're generating more income you're also decreasing competitive tension between F2A networks - but enticing enough ad revenue generation ($170 million+) to get them enticed.
Rep Matches Advertising - $20 million
=$170 million/season (not including the halo) minimum
Internet - $40 million - because of effective subscription rights dominance

Total - $210 million/season - that's about $1.05 billion - dependent on Fetch TV's capacity

I'm a RL fan, you are not, all you do is whinge, whine and complain about everything in the game.

So do us all a favour and f**koff to planet Union and talk your fav game with like minded morons.

Don't bother replying with your typical I'm a fan BS, we've heard it all before.

Have any other networks made a mention of seeking out the NRL rights recently?

To summarise:

Known:
7 - State of Origin
9 - current package of 3 H&A games/week, finals, rep matches
10 - friday night football double header + potentially some finals or rep games
Foxtel - current package of 5 games + delayed F2A matches
TBox - all matches for internet

Speculated:
7 - State of Origin, Sunday football news lead in
10/Foxtel - All games as a simulcast package split
Fetch TV - all games as an internet/mobile package

So this'll be like the French have with Orange sports through Telephone company?

Very similar.

Optus to carry the Fetch platform.
Optus to develop their own TBox hardwire alternative with a Fetch channel.
Optus & other Internet providers already signed up to Fetch.
Optus mobiles and digital pad providers to carry those channels.

Ah, competition.

Good stuff.

Good stuff.

Should be up and running within the next 18 months - nicely in conjunction with our negotiations.

Optus are trying to regain market share.

Will they strike against Telstra's arrogance re: NRL rights?

or even

Will they force Telstra to pay overs so they price them out of other sports rights?

OK thanks. I just hadn't heard anything outside of Channel 9 and Foxtel in recent months. Pretty much since the AFL rights were done.

Do you really think they'd even be discussing $1,000,000,000+ if they didn't believe they could get it?

LEK have an image to preserve which is why they're considered the best of the best. How long do you think they'd last if they fail to deliver on expectations they created?

Some people on here need to take a chill pill.

ignore the Yawnion twat
