col, i hope the whole 3P team recognise this is a special day for pricey to be shown the respect he deserves as an eels legend but the media gathered there dont give a flying monkey crap about him or his statue and will only be there looking for a sniff of an eels boardroom scandal to turn into another headline

now i know you have no control over whoever is leaking these 'insider stories' but 3P can control what they say to the media so please tell everyone to keep it tight and on subject don't give them any ammo

I would like to believe and I hope to be the case that this Saturday is purely about Ray. He will have his family and friends there as well as his former team-mates as well as his 3P colleagues and the general public and no doubt other areas of supporters present. You would think that Saturday will be more about a "well done" sort of event.

In saying that, the media will no doubt ask questions about current topics that are in the papers, thats what they do. I'd be surprised if Ray answered anything but "No comment" in regards to todays story. Ray hasn't said boo about it yet and I don't think he will talk outside of the boardroom about it. So heres hoping no-one brings ammo and no-one uses any ammo.

Don't worry about the astrologist, just ask MITS. He put down lotto numbers a few weeks ago and the ticket got one of the division prizes. Not big but he still came good.

this is the sort of thing im talking about .....if its a matter of the leagues club doing this ....its the sort of thing everyone has been talking about, not being told anything we arnt even told if we can come to the opening.
if this is done by the footy club ...im hoping not cause i thought the 3P would have brought enough change to let the fans know to come or not.....

shrugs got one of the greatest players for the club getting unveiled and no one knows if ya allowed to attend ...

Re: whether you need invites or it's a private function etc... it's in the open air, just turn up and mill about if you are so inclined.

It's Pricey's day, and he can invite people he wants there, but it's hardly in a enclosed room with a limited capacity. Worst that can happen is that some security guard gets you to stand a bit further away than you'd like to.

But it's not the clubs event.

They do a lot of things poorly, but this isnt there event to promote.

In an ideal world, it would have been coordinated with the club, but I get the impression the stadium trust have organised it themselves.
