Carige had multiple f**k ups for the Bulldogs to win in 1998. Hunt made just one, even though it was the biggest mistake of his career

His first f**k up was grounding a ball in the dead ball area that had already stopped. That was the start of the rot. That doesn't happen then the comeback doesn't happen

Sad part is the ball was still cleaerly rolling when he did that

Mate, he was shocking all night. Constantly kicking for touch rather than attacking, the spear tackle to give the Cowboys a penalty and possession with a few minutes to go and then once the Broncos had the ball, he was the one Feldt stripped the ball off to get our last set and resulting try. And dropping the ball off a kickoff in golden point in a grand final has to rate up there with the worst individual mistake a player has ever made on the football field, surely.

At least Carige was only playing a semi final.
This award is Hunt's forever.

Geez I feel for the poor bastard! Has had a great year only to save the worst game of his career on the most important dance of them all. Just hope he does not get the Ashton Sims Facebook treatment, that moment could seriously ruin the rest of his career.

It should be renamed the Ben Hunt award, I can't remember exactly the minute of the game but he kicked for touch (all God damn night) with 50 or seconds before full time (from memory) why would you just not out up an attacking kick as Cowboys whilst they might have got 7 tackles were never going to use them all up in a short time frame, hit the spear tackle for a piggy back penalty and then that knock on.

Bennett should take the blame for the negative 5th tackle options. Hunt was just following the coaches orders.

Boring boring Broncos

He was awful.

But he doesn't deserve the Carige treatment. Carige's efforts were geniused, Hunt's were just poor. The kicking for touch wasn't his idea, I'm fairly sure.
