so I think we need to approach this strategically.
say you move a game to Perth and one to Adelaide and you get good coin to play there. that's good.
I also believe we should try do a deal with a sydney club (not saints) where each year we play eac hother at the new sfs or the new parra on a public holiday like june long weekend or whatever
create a new tradition. the dragons vs easts game at Anzac day has become something. the good Friday games as well.

there will also be magic weekend.

then maybe with 8 shark park games people in f**king caringbah etc will go.

Not a bad idea at all.
The people ho only attend 1 game a year will be the ones whinging when games get taken away from us.

I am somewhat struggling with the concept 16.5k people will see us break even. What the hell are we paying the people at the bars per hour?

id say the security costs a lot
and wages
and f**kn insurance etc

cops ….theres probably some costs there

here's a cost cutting idea. move all non ET or porter membership seating is in the burns stand and then the concourse is all GA. You then fill the burns stand with ticketed memberships you don't need to pay ushers. GA peeps you can just sit where you want. hill, concourse. its GA. its all the same

I'd be capitalizing on the recent rivalry with the storm and taking that game to ANZ or similar.

Yeah that's a good idea

I think theres some games we need to keep in Cronulla.
the derby for one. id also say any games against the roosters, souths, wests etc

shit, if we did regional NSW instead of interstate the raiders would be a good team to go with that game

but yeah, Storms at ANZ would be interetsing

The NRL in all their wisdom usually put our derby games on thursday nights or whatever.

I think one year not so long ago we got a couple of monday night local derbs.

I know we couldn't believe the shit programming they had for our big crowd pulling games.

Short term challenge is for the team to perform well at home, and raise people's expectations, and they'll be more tempted to come to games in person, rather than watch at home or in a pub or club.

The medium to long term challenge is stimulating the interest of young people in the Shire, school aged kids, who may or may not develop a deeper interest in the sport and come to games and spend their hard earned there once they are in the workforce.

The idea of taking games to other venues where costs are underwitten by govt subsidies and temporary financial incentives is only a stop gap solution.

this team has made and won a grand final since the 2014 last place year
in 2016 we lost ONE home game... averaged 13k

the averages are poor

Once the SFS is rebuilt, we will play some games there, it’s inevitable.

It’s actually an opportunity to cash in on our 2nd home.

Cash as in $ & success!
