Newman is great. Little thin skinned to think everyone would appreciate his passionate service and sacrificed time ,to the sharks AND their fans! .Hope he is doing things he loves now .Always appreciate him being founding member and driving force behind the podcast which must have helped stimulate interest in sharks and hold interest of the rusted on supporters as well.

Newman was good value and did a lot for us merkins. I was addicted to the shark tv version in 16. I still remember when choppers Flanno came in after the Gf win. He winced when Newman mentioned the constant bashing of Smith by the pack ...good times

I like to pump up Sam’s effort cause as a selfish sharks fan I thought the pod was gonskis once Newman left.

It’s good Sam pivoted to a new format and it continues to be my favourite listen of the week.

Yeah they changed it up a few months ago.
Prob to serve the big guys or their own pods. I check the sharkcast pod page the day after a game and Thursday mornings...bit strangely that Eels one came up on my Spotify feed.

2021 eps have been great - aside from my pet hate of wanna be Clinton Maynard.
I wasnt sure it would work well without Newman, but change is as good as a holiday, and Sam has killed it with new rotating hosts.

Of course Sam is killing it. He’s a talented dude and he’s extremely passionate about the podcast and the club. He puts a great deal of research, time and effort into each episode. In many ways as my enthusiasm waned as time went on I was holding him and the pod back as I probably didn’t give his ideas the hearing they deserved. I always knew the pod would get better with time as I was really phoning it in at the end there. Any suggestion that he was incapable of doing a good job without me being there are extremely unfair to him.
