There are .....1.Gays .......2.twigs

1. Gays go about there business in a respectable fashion, and i have come to accept there place in the community..........They dont try to force there sexuality down your throat, and they behave like a normal member of the community

2. twigs walk around the streets in broad daylight in womens clothes(or in tight leather shorts), with their wrists slung limper than a piece of thin rubber, they purposely walk like they've got a carrot up their clacker, and they purposely put on a voice that makes them sound, well, gay!

IMO they are a general discrace to the community, and a total embarrassment! If you think the youth of today should be exposed to such perverts then so be it ........but quite frankly they make me nauseous!

But you'd have no problem with some of these blokey blokes going around showing of their masculinity? Get a grip on reality, homosexuals who are openly homosexual are a disgrace to society but its ok for heterosexuals to be openly heterosexual.

ah... the quote of the thread. I agree that any form of sex you care to mention can be fine and dandy. The thing with incest, pedophilia and beastiality is that it is extremely difficult to police in identifying when it is rape and when it isn't. I suggest this is why society continues to reject them, while society is starting to realise that there is nothing inherently bad in homosexuality in itself and it is just as easy to police in terms of rape as is heterosexuality.

medical science has shown that circumcision is healthier than not being circumcised... does this mean that we should shun people that refuse to be circumcised?
people without appendixes are at less health risk than people with appendixes... does this mean that we should shun people that refuse to have their appendix removed?

all i am trying to say in this particular post is that "it's not healthy" is not a valid excuse for saying that homosexuality is wrong

the increased risk of certain cancers that goangod attributed to lesibian woman are mostly related to the increased risk for women who remain childless - should we attempt to 're-educate' woman who choose not to have kids?

In a similar vein men who are celibate face an increased risk of prostate cancer - clearly celibacy is not a healthy option for any males (a great line to use on your next dates ;-) )

Looking at the first posts, the original subject matter from goangod was to do with a survey by a condom company which stated that Australia was the 'World's gayest nation'.

The whole notion that such a thing can be divided up into regions is absurd and the original post was nonsense... especially considering that the survey was conducted by Durex.

In any case, the initial suggestion was about abortions and declining population... a very narrow perspective and one which immediately set up a platform of morality. That is, wild generalisations held by a select few.

But for some reason, the immigration debate didnt get a look in. Instead, 'the goangod' launched into an attack on the Gay community... that is until he petered out.

Also interesting is that for an Australian survey, an awful lot of USA statistics were used to back up the homophobic argument.

But the funniest thing about this discussion is that we've seen the subjects of paedophilia, beastiality, incest, divorce, defacto relationships and even necrophilia all given a good run as if this was in some way connected to homosexuality. Its been a real hoot.

I remember seeing your post as well.

IMO, we still have a long way to go and have copped a few setbacks of late... but by-and-large, I still think Australia is fairly accepting of different life styles. Its ironic that those who rely on generalisations are often in the minority.
