One of the things I always liked about you Pops is you never cared about "likes". But you seem to be a bit fixated on them at the moment.
You can collect them pretty easily in game day threads by whinging about the refs. I guarantee I could collect 20 on state of origin night. They don't mean much. They make you feel good for a while then cheap and dirty afterwards.
If I cared about 'likes' I'd post in the Melbourne forum, assuming there is one, thing is I don't need people to like what I write . . . reading it is enough to keep me interested

Most of what you write I skip over, but judging by the number of likes you've accrued you must have a following of like minded people . . . that is far more disturbing than anything you write

Cronk will be remembered as a very good half back. Sterling is a giant of the game and in my opinion a clear example of why The Immortals concept is a joke.

wow coops has really rustled a shitload of jimmies in the south. let me give this discussion a different perspective. what was the salary cap when sterling won his premierships? steve mortimer was prefered to sterling on a number of occasions during his career. i believe ray price had more to do with those eels premierships than sterling. how many did sterling win after price retired? how well did sterling perform at origin level when he was selected over mortimer? and dont forget sterling is a queenslander. id take cronk over sterling every day of the week.

Sterlo won premierships under two different coaches.

Meh. My jimmies aren't rustled. I just think Sterlo was a better player. As for 'different perspective' the same types of argument from north/south of the border apply when it comes to Lockyer vs. Johns.

I don't think this comes down to a qld/nsw discussion.

Don't know if you can tell, but I'm fairly pro-Cronk.

I'm equally anti qld.

Yes the majority of the thread who are rating Sterlo better are definitely the ones rustled.

Sterlo would have had too much integrity to get mixed up in the Storm tactics. He would probably have been man enough to confront Belly and say "hey man that is outside the spirit of the game. I don't need another boat and I don't want to give that guy a leg lock."
okay so you have a shot at the storms tactics yet when parra used the flying wedge and the wall they were innovators.

Been thinking about this but I just can't seperate them. Might give the edge to Sterling for his incredible knowledge and his 3 straight premierships.

Didn't sterling win 4 Motm awards over his 13 game origin career? :stuck_out_tongue:
