There's something rotten in the camp somewhere

We will finish 8th and go out first week of the finals. Mary pack your bags and paint brush and FOQ

Regardless of where we finish, irreparable damage is being done to this once proud club, and has been since Bennett walked. Our name is synonymous with choking and once our starch vanished we have become the most feeble team in the comp.

Today was the darkest day when we had everything and everyone to play for. Even the greatest cynic couldn't even see that coming on such an occasion.

I really hope that Tariq did not offer his gear to Thompson's kids. Those kids could teach the team a thing or two about guts.

The players aren’t tanking, they’re not betting on games, Hunt isn’t destabilising the team and Dufty isn’t a shit player. The players are low on confidence, they’re all busted and overworked, Hunt is headf**ked after Origin and the relentless pressure, and Dufty is an undeniably talented player who is playing like a kid who read his own press and bought in. Mary needs to drop Duff, put Hunt at hooker, rest a couple of big boppers and for f**k sake, attack in numbers around the ball.

Yeah Tariq did the presentation to Lance's eldest daughter before Flo got the game ball.

Yes Jack doesnt seem himself and hasn't for awhile.....thats what astounds me about McGregor if DeBelin is carrying injuries or is buggered 1 why hasnt he been rested and 2 theres been games when a bench player could have been used at times in a game but have sat on their arses for most of the match and hes stayed on.....bloody clueless

My sense is it's upstairs.

Even if there is an injury cloud - many players carry injuries each week and play their guts out, especially when there are big stakes at play. Jack De Belin sadly isn't displaying any such signs. He appears like the last place on earth he wants to be is on a football field. Light-years away from where he was early in the season.

I’ll take a very simple approach to this.
There are players fatigued, busted, underperforming & nothing has been done to change that. Whatever is coming from the coach isn’t working & you have players that have been through it all before under SuperCoach. Whatever he is selling, they’re not buying. It’s time for him to go.

Been to many games now at kogarah and never felt it so flat and angry on the hill near the army. It was hard to watch.
Must have been very depressing particularly when the memories of Thommo came flooding back and how he busted himself time and time again for his beloved Dragons and the wonderful contribution Flo has made to the Red V....had many left before full time.....looked very sparse when I tuned back in later in the second half...must admit at 18 nil I went for a walk.

They look bored and confused.

I've never been to a training session but it seems like they run the same drills over and over again, no variation, just the same shit different day appearance. Whilst it looks good at the beginning of the year when they're fresh, it soon wears off once (a) teams work out what plays we run every set and (b) some get to experience another coach during Origin time and they actually learn something different.

The confusion comes from the point above, when it falls apart they have nothing to fall back on, try as they may, they only know one drill.

Add in a few players egos may be getting out of hand and that my take what's rotten in the camp.

Oh and of course McGregor himself.

This is pretty close to the mark imo.
Nothing has changed except for the personnel on the field since L plates been in charge. We’ve blamed Benji, McCrone, Williams & now Hunt for all our woes when in all likelihood it’s L plates repetitive boring one out running game plan. The one he calls the “Power Game” lol. No structure whatsoever just hit it up & bomb or go for the big play. No wonder Hunt looks so disinterested. For months Sterling,Joey & Freddy have been saying this structure is SO wrong but hey what would they know.
Rant over, Sorry. :rage:

we need to simply get rid of half the team AND Mcwanker the sooner the better

you can tell theyre badly coached, NO effort even..no Plan B nothing

seriously Id get rid of Hunt, Dufty, Lafia, Aitken, Latimore, Nene as soon as the seasons up and get the kids in there, they seem hungrier at least thats something

Whoever was at the game today, like I was, would have noticed Jack De Belin with hands on hips staring at the grass back up-field regularly when the Dragons were trying to get out of their own end. For reasons whatever - this bloke just is not right at the moment. He's not the only reason we were annihilated and embarrassed today but it represents what an absolute abyss this team is in right now.

I’ve posted about Debellin’s attitude (or lack of it) for weeks.

As for Hunt, could homesickness be playing a part? Obviously playing in a side that’s imploding isn’t helping.

It’s funny how this season has changed so dramatically since May. I warned you all.

Yes mate, many were leaving with even 20 to go. I left with 6 to go and it was emptying out. Tough to see them dish that up given the stakes. If they get a home final(somehow), im not even sure how many will turn up. People are disgusted, myself included.

It's boring repetitive one out forward plays.
There's no off loads because there's no one to offload too, as has been pointed out for weeks, the players are already setting up the next play instead of worrying about the play that's currently unfolding.
The next play is inevitably a one out forward hit up.

Dufty is not a bad player. His defensive deficiencies are far out weighed by his attacking abilities, but the team are not coached to take advantage of them, they are not trained to try to put him into gaps, he's not trained to follow the ball carrier.

McGregors game plan is always mistake free football first, he's told us this with his famous 16 points in defence game plans.
If you are just trying to restrict you opponents to 16 you do not expect to score more than 18.

Aitken, Nene, Lafai, Peierra are not bad players, just badly coached, never given the opportunity to run or ball play because the game plans are always "mistake free" first.

JDB, Sims, Ah Mau, Tyson have all gone off because they don't believe in the game plan they are forced to play under.
