There's something rotten in the camp somewhere

Lomax would have been there if he played through the middle of the year. Unfortunate timing means he’ll be better prepared next year.

I was disappointed with his game of Saturday, while most people were impressed. Not enough half as good as he usually is when fully fit, but the last thing you want to do is to send a player like that too early, when the rest of the team is struggling.

There were a number of non performers yesterday, with the exception of Friz, Periera and McInness. However, I though Aitken, MacDonald, Dufty and Lafai were all poor and didnt show any signs of effort. Mac Donald in particular should be dropped, however he is likely to survive given injuries to Aitken and Nightingale.

The forwards are just cooked. I’d give them all a week off in a desperate bid to have them fit for the first final. Concede the game to Newcastle we can’t finish top 4 now anyway.

My team:
Dufty
Herbert (f**k MacDonald off regardless of injuries)
Lomax
Lafai
Pereira
Mann
Hunt
LAM
Robson
Latts
Leilua
Sele
Host

Field
Lawrie
Kerr
Allgood
unfortunately, only Jesus could turn this around.
And he has far better things to do.

It’s goodnight Sam.

This.

Like lomax said, he struggled with match fitness and it showed.

I thought Field was the best player on the field by some margin.

Best game i have seen him play all season...

While Kurt Mann has always done his best in different positions, this issue is when you lose a key player in a key position and don't give the obvious next in line the shot.

Field should have come straight in for Widdop. Why wouldn't the kids want out when they wait all year for a chance and when it comes they get overlooked?

Another indicator that our coaching staff don't have what it takes.

I heard this morning that we are considering Trent Barrett. What the serious f*ck. We'll never learn.

I take Duff's comments with a grain of salt.

I had a chuckle regarding the "wake up to yourselves" comment.

He should be able to have his say however, supporter also should be able to have their say without violence and abuse as it's only a game of footy.

I'd have to "have a look at myself" if I didn't have an understanding of getting flogged by a team that can't make the finals, the biggest defeat at Kogarah, one of your team mates last game at home, the significance of a club legends passing and the fact that a win would give me an advantage in the finals.

Yep.

The irony is that most of press reports of disgruntled dragons fans seem to overlook the above stated emotional reasons and simply put the anger down to the team losing...

Agree Dragsters, the "other" reasons are a bit of a distraction to the story theme.

The culture has gone to shit

I've repeated this half a dozen times, we were a club that demanded success, we are now a club that accepts mediocrity

starts at the top

while McGregor absolutely must go, its those that are behind his appointment, Prices's appointment, the appointments to the board, the firings of anyone from the outside that challenged the status quo that are to blame

the place reeks of nepotism and self serving greed

I'm skeptical of the recent "changes" as its the same old boys brigade in different roles

the one time we allowed in an outsider and handed over control, we won the comp within two seasons, we had every piece of of silverware available sitting at the club

what did we do?

learn nothing and revert to type

old boy reporting to old boy reporting to old boy, accountable to noone

massive clean out required for the culture to change

hopefully the new ownership is step 1 but as i said, I'm skeptical

Well said Taxidriver , have gotten right to the heart of the problem. I like yourself am now relying upon just what actions shall occur from the new ownership group , I will be bitterly disappointed if the first step at seasons end is not taken , of course that is to rid the club of Mr. McGregor , once and for all . And as far as those old boys are concerned , they should be pensioned off and told never to return to any club functions as they have done enough damage .

Did you not watch the game against Melbourne?
We were in it up till the hour mark and the kids who came in got gassed, fell off tackles and we got pumped in that last 20 minutes. You can't select a side on highlight videos on youtube from NYC.
Defence is where we've gone missing an kids who can't defend at NRL level are only going to drag the team further down.

For reference, up until the bye we conceded 178 in 12 games. <15ppg.
Since we've conceded 266 in 11 games. >24ppg.

I think you are selling these posters short Slackboy. They've watched them occasionally on TV as well. And not just highlights - full games!!! Some may have even watched them live a couple of times!!!

Now if that isn't enough information to be making this call, I'm not sure what else you are expecting!!!

100% This.
Even Stevie Wonder can see it.
Poor Hunt goes from being coached by Bennett,Meninga & Walters to this clown.Any wonder he's lost his confidence.
Yep. There’s a few posts like this in here & they are on the money.
The basics have not been visible for a while.
Where are the instructions to Hunt to kick for the sideline(the bomb isn’t working), for Widdop to aim for a repeat set instead that sh*tty grubber into the back of a forwards legs, for Dufty to run off Frizz or Sims & demand a pass when there’s space.
