he stuffed up once in the ingoal, then quickly fixed it. he missed one goal from the side-line, and also got one from there.
yep, he is having a shocker

Maybe imn being a little to harsh, but if you have a player tht is preforming that good (merrit). If covel or simmo start playing sh*t thaey should be dropped immediatly.

geez guys we lost to a very good football side (even without there rep players, they still have a very good team). relax ok. we didnt play that bad. our defence was good and we created opportunites which unfortunately we just couldnt finish.

any1 who bags peachey is just getting 2 emotional. the guy had a blinder gee every1 makes a couple of mistakes.too mr covell basher, he didnt play bad today and y the hell should he be supporting someone on the other side of the field? idiot? he still did some brilliant things today which had everyones heads turning.

mellor has had a good season guys, today wasnt a highlight for him but i wouldnt suggest moving him. the mellor\covell combination is deadly. keep it going.

and simmons , people suggesting he goes? come on the kids improving . keep him there he is a good player.

the reason we are loosing is pretty simple. brett kimmorley just isnt playing his best footy. before origin 1 we werent loosing cause he was carving up. since then he hasnt done anything and weve gone downhill.

Yes you fool, did you see that in the 69th minute he tried to dive on the ball in-goal but f**ked it up royal, hodges nearly scored then covell just regathered. This gave them a dropout. now if covel had a brain he would of waited for the ball to bounce grab it and try to beat the 1 defender chasing which he should be able to do because he is a back who can step. with this dropout the broncos scored which led to us dying i the ass, also his goal kicking is shocking at the moment. Drop him immiediatly, i thought he would be safer than merrit but he is just sh*t. Btw merrit can also kick goals which eliminates covels best weapon. Lift your game or f**k off to premier league. many players today showed attacking ability but just couldnt finish it off, covell did nothin at all.

You're targetting the wrong winger Pointer. Covell was always where he was meant to be in support. Simmons was never where he was meant to be.

Covell made that one error. Simmons made 4.

Covell covers for Mellor. Simmons covers for no one.

You may be correct, but covell hasent been playing good for many weeks, at least simmo has been threatning in attack where covell has not done much. And you cant blame it on the ball not getting to him, you sometines have to create things yourself. If covel dosent get the ball enough he should search for it every now and then.

Covell played very well, top positional play again and saved at least 2 tries in defence. Covered up for Mellor a couple of times too.

Of course you can "blame" it on the ball not getting to him. 80% of our play goes right. When the ball does come left Mellor will more often than not just run himself. The game plan doesn't suit having a roving winger and you'll notice Simmons doesn't go in looking for work either. Both wingers you only find in the middle when they are making DHRs runs after kicks.

McGoldrick may not have shown much in his time in the grade, but f**k me, he didn't mess up as much as Mellor does. Goldy = great hands, class, speed, agility, intelligence and talk. We need a guy like this on the field.

McGoldrick has good hands and niggle talk...for gods sake he isnt a first grader! Mellor made mistakes...but he was INVOLVED and TRYING and having a go.
I have only read a few subjects thus far on here, but no one seems to be mentioning the fact that if we hold some of those crazy passes and plays just a little...we keep great field position and keep attacking. The reason we lost is because we played the 2nd half like the first.I admit,I was into the style of attack in the first half...pure entertainers! But we got one lousy try out of it.
Second half they just kept trying stupid stuff rather than getting repeat sets etc...
Take away Peachey's blunder(6points) and what...2 or 3 penalty goals and we lose the game by not very much at all.We didnt know when to stop throwing the ball around.
Anyone suggesting getting rid of kimmorley...c'mon.Get real.Simmons,as much as I hate to say it,has improved and whilst Merritt surely woulda been by nigel's side to score those tries...on todays game give the guy a break.
Covell needs to do some sprint training...if we lose either the souths or newcastle game then fire up...but on todays game...they played blissfully stupid backyard footy and against most other teams it would have worked.

This is weird. Some pretty good football minds on here and still the laying of blame seems so shallow. Maybe it was the fact you watched it on TV guys, But I really think if you saw that performance today live, you would see the failure of the side for what it was.

Nothing to do with wingers and centres at all, although every week that seems to be the blame point. we were ONE. read it. ONE prop forward short of our strongest pack our there today........and we were rolled well and truly by THAIDAY, happily assisted by Webcke who our pack just could not contain either.

hutch and galloway played well by their standards today, they really did, Keith in attack is really stepping up each week and has shown alot more starch and anger in his play, but he is still very green and needs to show that same starch and anger in defence, webcke just picked him and ran at him without worry and gained thru the advantage line every time. Stevo had a great first half and went missing after that, gallen played well behind beaten props, as did bails in the first half, again a slow 2nd half for him.

Yet we want to take about centres , wingers, and halfbacks here ....

like I said, weird.

When nod got castigated in origin I for played shyte by the rest of the league world, sharks fans as a whole correctly pointed out that the pack he played behind got rolled and needed to lift for game II. Why then do we not accept that sometimes our pack gets beat, and when it does we look , like most footy teams , average.

Honestly guy's do you think there will be any changes for next weeks game besides nuts slotting back into the team, there hasn't been many so far this season and i doubt Raper will make many more if any.

OPfcourse there will be no changes.
& dont understand why anybody would say that blaming the wingers & centres for the loss was weird. That in itself is weird. Weirder than weird!!!

Mellor & simmons together accounted for 10 mistakes!
that is the only statistical area, besides possession, that we lost. & that is because one leads to the other.
simmons was absolutely woeful.

I thought Simmons went OK but he failed to use his best asset - his speed. Why wasnt he close by Vagana when he made those breaks.
Simmons in the clear is a certain try but he didn't put himself there.
