Thorn's hit on Williams

Did anyone see Williams get up very slowly after a hit from Thorn, it was about 8min before half time.

It looked like Williams was ina a bit of trouble but he wasn't going to stay down

Thorn gave him a 'Thanks for getting up tap" after the tackle.

Not saying there was anything to it but Williams certainly looked very dusty.

Was this when he was dry reaching on the field?
Yeah I think it was Thaiday who was on fire last night!

It was Thorn and he got him on the chin. And, yeah, Thorn showed his appreciation for Sonny getting up. It's a pity that the divers get rewarded and the ones who get up don't. Michaels is another one who could have stayed down. But it wouldn't be a problem if the ref and, especially, the touchies weren't so friggen blind.

Did Bennett go on about the Thorn hit after the game?

Good on Sonny Bill for being tough and not succumbing to the dive. I remember Petero got him on the chin in the semi final last year and he just got up and played the ball straight away.

And who knows what might have happened if we had gotten a penalty.

There will always be divers while the stakes are high and the refs are incompetent.

Did anyone see Thaiday's spear tackle on SBW right at the end of the game?

Luckily for Thaiday SBW managed to get into a position to land on his hands, but the commentators didn't mention it at all and a replay wasn't shown.

You mean the high shot that Channel 9 missed?? Yeah great hit Thorn!
SBW always gets up even when he gets hit high, shame so many other NRL players don't do the same.

didn't see the actual contact but whatever it was, it shook him up because he wasn't right for a couple of mins after the hit

lol, I came here to start this thread!!

I thought I saw Thorn go high, and then SBW was obviously pretty f*cked by it.

However, the dead give away was that Thorn stayed behind to apologise!!

It just goes to show how f*cked the whole system is, because unless SBW has a whinge (and he won't) Thorn will get away with it- yet I reckon 99% likely it was a deadset high shot.

Brad Thorn - a winner, with 4x more achievement than a player like Ben Kennedy (whom I respect), but one tenth of the press coverage.

Brad Thorn- has been lucky to play in a lot of good teams

but more to the point, Brad Thorn- put a high shot on last night, should be cited and suspended, but won't be because of MRC/ref/video ref ineptitude

LOL....good on sbw

Gotta laugh though at people ....a 102kg sbw obviously shaken up by a 112kg Thorn....yet people get upset when a 93kg liam fultons knocked sh*tless by a 102kg micky peaea and stays down

and you'll still get a few idiots saying that SBW is "soft" because he has been injured a bit in his career. His injuries he couldnt help...but whenever he cops a decent knock he always gets up and plays on.

There is something called the "match review committee".
Just because a tackle is not seen by the referee, or not placed on report, doesnt mean they "get away with it".
The "report" system is a wank, and it is only there to give a free replacement.
