I don't think that there is ever a simple case of one side being good and one being the evil one. It all depends on your environment and how you have been brought up. Al-Quaeda members are seen as some to be terrorists, and to others freedom fighters. Of course what they did was wrong but it is never a case of one side being all good and one bad. In any conflict you look at. this is the case. Someone mentioned the Nazis and though many og the things they did were evil, there were also Nazis that were heros. Same with the Allies. Some of them were monsters, some of them also were heroes. You cannot say either of these sides were evil, its not as simple as that and its not fair to the people who were on the 'evil' side who were doing what they believed right.

Well i took out the pope post, but if a manager wants to knock the other one out, go ahead by all means. It does ruin a good conversation, but i dont want to be accused of being a nazi manager :D

Welcome to the forum as well Simone :)I take your point, it does depend on your environment. Brainwashing, in the case of Al-Qaeda at least, seems quite prevelant. Im sure there are some good men in those groups, but were pressured, perhaps at gun point or worse, to work for the terror group

it doesn't seem to be working both ways, though I respect your charitable attitude towards a stereotypical charity case- He doesn't get my respect....I offered him many chances and he blew them all... Tell me, what was the Hillar1st xv like in your day?

i dont actually remember them much, when i was at de la salle you had to play rugby and we played a heap of schools, but at otahuhu college i played league. i played for the otahuhu club but the school said if you want to play club league in the afternoon, you had to play school union in the morning. i vaguely remember hillary, i think it was a very new school then.
we used to have more fun beating up the toffs from kings college,,

there is a member of our forum, kiwi, who i,m pretty sure went to hillary. he used to like playing oats too, plenty of knuckle.
