Thurston 'better than Joey'

Until Johns can get booed and have a Queensland crowd chant "Joey's a wanker" as captain of the Kangaroos - he will never be like King Wally. The other yardstick is having a Queensland crowd applaud Johns and his NSW team from the field for a gutsy victory. Neither have ever happened. Both happened to Wally with Sydney crowds, so as far as I'm concerned he will always be the King.

id say thurston and johns r prob level with each other this year...notice the words THIS YEAR!!...Sundy will be damn good to watch hopefully...

Overall we'll have to wait another 5 yrs to see if thurston is consistantly brillant..im a massive fan of his... so i hope he does (sept for sundy)

he's a utter wanker. pure and simple, anything else said that i know would be unfounded speculation and is not allowed on an open forum. But irrespective of that Thurston has played the better football in season 2006.

7 try assists, 6 tries, kicking goals, defending competently, so there's Johns supporters "complete player" point taken care of.

Reigning Dally M medal winner. and not only that but i believe he is a clear cut leader at this stage of the competition, he must be on at least 12 points already. I cant see how it can be argued that Thurston is not playing better footy then Johns, its no shot at johns or his form as its been sublime as well, just Thurston is playing better

sadly here at LU, the knights fans and pro johns brigade refuse to concede that anyone form could ever possibly be better then joeys... i feel sorry for them, as they are incapable of truly admiring the class a bloke like Thurston oozes

Johns is on 75 points in 4 games, Just under 20 points per match. Has 10 Try Assists, probably has even more line break assists and he is defending good aswell.

Most would argue Johns is playing in a team worse than the Cowboys squad aswell, surely that tells you how great is is when he has those sort of stats.

Look you can call me a biast Knights fan, but imo Johns is in the better form atm, Thurston not far behind though. I remember against the Eels he even had a few shocking kicks, none really from Joey, not to mention the 2 40/20s.

Anyway its your opinion, but I beleive youre saying Thurston is better because of your hatred for Johns ;-).

Argues otherwise. If Thurston is a better player than Johns IN YOUR OPINION have a look at diffferentials on point score. To me that says Johns is the better player/organiser

They are both going very well......I tend to think that Johns' form and the beatings he has helped deliver put him slightly in front.

But we will get a real good look when they line up against each other this weekend....should be a belter of a game.
