Post your number then. Should be interesting now that Brisbane have spoiled our PAX fun by selling 30,000 two weeks in advance!

As reported this morning.

"It seems Wellington league fans are keen to see how a wounded Kiwis side responds.

Eleven thousand tickets have been pre-sold for the Wellington Stadium Tri Nations match between Great Britain and the Kiwis.

NZRL General Manager Peter Cordtz says they are delighted and very encouraged by the current figures, especially given rugby league has a bit of a walk-up culture."

Ticket sales for the test have been impressive already this week and a great crowd is expected on Saturday night. Tickets are available at Ticketek outlets and Mad Butcher stores throughout Wellington.

So they have sold 2,000 in one day....its looking really good...

I think this is the fans getting behind the team big time, and sticking two fingers up in regard to the Fein saga, to prove it has not hurt the game in the slightest- Not what the media would have you believe.
Onyas, Wellington! Put us to shame and get out and support the Kiwis!!!!

I'll be going with my girlfriend
I was gonna go with another 3 people, but they couldn't make it in the end.

Here's hoping we can pack it out and cheer the boys home.

I think this match isn't just important for Wellington's future chances of staging tests' but also for the possibility of a Wellington team entering the NRL down the track. I honestly believe that the NRL wants a second team in NZ, both to strengthen the kiwis and to create a rivalry with the warriors. However, i think one of the NRL's main concerns is the city's ability to get good crowds on a regular basis.
Hope you guys can prove them wrong on both accounts and get a big crowd there on Sat, i for one would love to see the Southern Orcas in the NRL.

I also believe that if Wellington does well they will get the Kiwis vs Australia test next year before the Kiwis go to GB

Ominously, only 11,500 tickets had been sold for a match, leaving plenty of empty space at the 35,000-capacity ground.

They only sold 500 tickets yesterday compared to 2,000 on Monday. I think most people are waiting on the weather, its pretty crap here at the moment but it is meant to clear up on Friday.

GREAT OFFER FOR WELLINGTON’S YOUNG LEAGUE PLAYERS

Wellington’s young league players get the chance to see the stars of the game in person this Saturday night.

The New Zealand Rugby League have announced a great offer for all registered players aged 12 years and under to get a free ticket to the Kiwis v Great Britain test at Westpac Trust Stadium.

“We made the same offer to our young players in Canterbury before the first test between these two teams at Jade Stadium,” NZRL general manager Peter Cordtz said. “This is a way to reward these players and their families.

“They’re all involved in the educational football programme and are the future of the game. One day some of them will hopefully be out there playing for the Kiwis, others will be coaches or managers.

“They’re having fun and learning the game at the same time and this is our way of offering them the chance to see the best players the country has to offer in person.”

To receive a free ticket to the test Wellington Rugby League players aged 12 years or under simply have to have their registration confirmed to the officials at WRL headquarters – 24 Marine Parade, Petone.

Adults wanting to accompany their children to the Kiwis’ fourth match of the Gillette Tri-Nations series can also purchase tickets at the WRL office.

As was the case in Canterbury any registered player aged 12 years or under who already has a ticket to Saturday night’s test match can get an extra ticket free for a friend by presenting their purchased ticket at the WRL offices

Good to see them offering the fans some incentive. Surely Wellington alone would have a few thousand juniors, lets hope they all take advantage of the offer and fill the stadium

INTERESTING ...

I heard this story on the news and it said something along the lines of,

" to avoid a low crowd the NZRL will be giving away thousands of tickets to junior league players. Only 13,000 tickets sold thus far"
