Had a quick read of this thread during the week . . . . with the exception of just a few that recognise any game can be won or lost . . . the arrogance of the vast majority of you has deserved it's karmic reward.
What a great game. Who's fault is it ? the ref ?, Mary ? Nighty ?, Kurt ?.
Your crowd at the "fortress" actually boo more than they cheer. Well they did today at least.
Sleep well tonight and have a great week, and maybe go easy on the early crow next round.

Go and have your stinky bog somewhere else - we know how to do our own thank you.

One thing I took out of this game was the value of a smart creative hooker. Theirs had a hand in pretty much all their tries.

Farah who’s pretty much a reserve grade hooker completely outplayed McInnes.

He’s clearly trying to run more but does nothing to link with his support and create for others.

Needs to develop this.

Yet another post criticising Widdop, You’d think rugby league was an individual, not a team sport.

Have another go.
When you're among the highest paid and play a key playmaking position then criticism comes with it. He's been going down hill and looking more like the Widdop we've been used to.

Support!! What support. We run one out and expect to compete.

He’s always shit he’s shit every game he officiates

I hate seeing teams ripped off.
The refs allow blatant forward passes.
Tigers off side all day.
Tigers score a good try but refs call it back as being forward.... it wasn’t.

Crucial ref mistakes at crucial times.
At the end of the day, we were very poor and didn’t deserve to win.

The test is, can the coach turn it around.
That is were we see his real worth.
Over to you, McGregor.

Too many mistakes yet again today.

Coaching staff has been unable to get the players up for any of the last half a dozen games.

We shouldn't be starting to play with 15 minutes to go.

If we are still playing like this with 4 rounds to go we will be lucky to finish 7th.

Saints needed a major wake up call. This is it.

Vaughan, Graham and Frizell played really well.

Apart for his attempted kick, that was one of Flo's better efforts.

Perhaps Doust should tap Mary on the shoulder and let him know that if we fold again like a cheap tent he is gone.

Officially a slump now. Expected it at some stage given the rep season.

Still 7 weeks to go to get back on track with a reasonable draw. Top 4 should still be the goal.

Time for Mary to step up now. It’s clear that the rep guys need a freshen up, all looked extremely flat.
I actually think the rep boys were our better players. Maybe I was just watching Friz. He is the heart and soul of this team. He should be wearing the C and is more a leader than widdop.

They do need a rest though. Will it happen. No Mary will flog a dead horse!

What test are you talking about?
If you haven’t worked it out yet I’ll help you.
The exam papers have long been issued and already handed back in.
You could give Mc Fookknuckle a piece of paper with all the answers written on it but the dumb f**k would still get a big F
F stands for fail, flopp, fraud and f**ked and he has a masters in all 4.
You are only kidding yourself if you think he can learn anything between now and semi final time.
We need teams to fall over if we are to go anywhere.

The way I saw it, our SOO players played their hearts out but were clearly fatigued.

Nightingale and Aitken should not be on our right edge but instead Nightingale should retire and Aitken be on the bench. Yes it's time to bring Lomax and Herbert into the side at least both of these players can pass the ball, have speed and can take a high ball.

In our forwards, Frizell needs to move to prop and Leilua to fill his place. It's time for Leilua to step up and do his stuff as he looks to really hve the talent and size we need on the right edge. Next off season it should be defence, defence and defence for Leilua. Mann really had a bad game today and Dufty although scoring a try, just was not busy enough and was caught out in defence a number of times.

Is this confirmation of our feared slide? I hope not. I really hope not.

I was at the game and it was completely underwhelming experience. We looked flat, no go forward, no intensity and not smart enough. Terrible game and we gave the Tigers all the field and we could not get out of our 40. Coach, players and all concerned need a rocket to sort this out quick smart.
Spot on. Dishing up a lifeless performance smacks of complacency.

Today’s takeaways
  • If we keep picking this 17 we will not finish top 6.
  • No good of our forwards busting the line as no one is smart enough to be there all the time to back it up.
  • Hunt is certainly an upgrade but is over rated as a match winning half and has plenty of defense deficiencies.
  • Widdop has gone back to being a player who gets lost at critical moments.
  • Graham only brings captaincy to the side and does precious little to ignite our attack.
  • Lafai is the invisible man.
  • Nightingale now thinks he is a middle 3rd player and if he wasn’t already missing on his wing it has gotten worse.
  • Little or no value in bringing ball players on when you are well behind on the scoreboard and the clock as any mistake will be punished and every one else is to f**king tired to back up what you are doing.
  • This year we have survived longer at the top purely on individual brilliance and when that doesn’t present itself on game day then you get what we saw today.
