We won’t have anywhere near the 850k he is on as we will have to subsidise approx 40% of his contract for ‘23 as no other club in their right mind will value the pathetic bum at more than 500k.IMO he isn’t giving us 50K of value per annum.

I would too, Ted. When the media aren’t having a crack at Brooks, his salary is 500k-600k. When the media are laying the boot in, the salary goes up to 850k-900k.

I don't often quote myself but crickets on this comment. If Brooks isn't the guy for us I'm fine with it but the bullshit in relation to his salary is bullshit.

Anyone quoting a large salary for Brooks is pushing an agenda.

My take is that we need to use the best players we have and use them correctly. I think Hastings atm is the best option we have at 7.

There are two parts to this argument:-

1. Brooks performance as our halfback.
2. The fabricated stories about his salary.

I think that Brooks performance as halfback hasn't been good enough.

I also think the bullshit about his salary is bullshit and no one provides any proof which of course leads to it being bullshit. Provide proof on his salary or stop the bullshit.

The media stories change all the time. I notice how you use $850k. I've seen $950k and even more. There is never any proof to these stories and when I ask for proof I get crickets.

I'm not the one stating he is overpaid. I'm not even stating his salary matters that much. The question to me is should he be in our team and what role should he play.

I don't think Brooks is good enough to lead us to a premiership and I think we have better options at 7.

Exactly. I just an article on Maguire and I think he nailed the Brooks issue.
