As for playing under sheens ... he's preferable to brown I guess

Kind of an anti-climax that our worldwide search ends with Corey Payne.

I'll save judgment until next season, but you'd think a giant worldwide search would provide a bigger name.

He isn't small. 188 cm and 100 kg.

Very aggressive and can offload. Also quite injury prone (particularly concussion) and capable of poor discipline. Was easily one of our worst players early this season, mistackles and penalties all over the place, but that possibly was due to a slow recovery from some pretty serious head and facial injuries. Improved significantly as the season progressed and earnt himself a deserved starting spot. If he stays uninjured and outgrows the stupid errors and penalties he could be a good first grader.

Payne is not a bad player who can create second phase play with an off load. I hope he wasn't given big $$$ & I'll reserve my judgement until he's played a game or two.

Not quite at the "Peter Lewis-WTF?" level, but we didn't need another back rower however. We still need 2 three-quarters & possibly a half/pivot. I've given the current brains trust the benefit of the doubt, but anything less than 6th or better this year should see the broom put through the place.

We aren't going to be buying any halves at all.

I thought everyone saw the memo.

"WE NEED MORE BACK ROWERS!"

Nick Youngquest is done apparently ... don't mind him though he might prove an obstacle for Junior Burger

You sure on Youngquest? I'd heard interest from both parties had cooled & he was off to England. He's probably the best option left as far as wingers go.

at this stage, i think the tigers should put the chequebook away, they've done enough damage with it already.

You deadset couldn't make it up.

Whilst its good to have depth, how many f**king back rowers to we need.

FMD, I hope im wrong, and he kicks on next year, but from what ive seen, he has poor handling and is an average defender.
