Appreciate the kind words Stagger. In regards to next signing, it is definately a forward.

And INU was given an ultimatum, and he chose the Eels. He loves it here. He is still struggling with the missionary thing which has been playing on his mind, but seems to have put that behind him.

Also heard Tim Smith will not be welcomed back. Too much baggage.

with the first thing you said, it's sounds exciting and I can't wait to find out who it is if we do sign him..even though I have NFI as to who you're talking about..

secondly, I heard exactly the same thing...

thirdly, very very interesting...

I disagree with a previous post saying Taia wouldn't be a big signing.

Is there any other player in the NRL who is an ex-Eel playing better than Zeb has for the past season and a half?

I'd rate him right up, possibly even in the top 5 attacking second rowers in the comp!

i think Chad is a solid player and a decent signing, but i doubt he would be considered a "shock/major" signing.

im actually suprised we are going for another forward. must be waiting on a release deal for cayless or fui.

I agree. I was pissed when he in the first place.

More so nowadays.

Even better news than the signing of Tahu is that they arent interested in one T Smith. This Management Group appear to have their heads screwed on. Welcoming back T Smith would surely not be a decision made by a proactive group.

Timmy was probably Stagg's signing.

Chad wouldn't be big enough a signing to blow us away.

Mason is still my guess.

Asotasi would blow me away. Trade with Souths.

Someone from the Drags? Dean Young?

It has to be Chad Robinson...

If i recall, Ozzie recruits 'skilled' players but also players with a good personality who can lead by example and wont damage the rep of our club.

Thats rules out Tim Smith.

However, Chad Robinson is a perfect example of the kind of players Ozzie likes.

Let's get over this Tim Smith off field behaviour crap. The guy is a talent and you don't come across talent like his often. If he is available you consider him, put conditions in his contract regarding his behaviour and go from there.

Just saying no because of things that have happened in the past is stupid

I don't understand why you would want to get rid of Cayless to sign Robinson.

I would have liked to have seen Tim Smith back as well but it's looking unlikely.

its worth pointing out that timmy is a now a few years older, is in a relationship, and is also a bit more worldly. any one here would have/will benefit from a similar situation.

PLEASE BE TIM SMITHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I dunno why but i really do have a soft spot for Tim and he was my fav Parra player coming through the juniors. PLEASE COME BACK :(

There was a really bad influence which sucked Tim Smith into its sickening void. Yes, Timmy was at fault, it was his choice BUTTTT Brian Smith would have gotten rid of this void (negative influence) but alas DF became the obstacle.

Then sleepy head Hagen came along who really was in la la land and could not see reality and so innocent gullible naive Tim Smith fell and fell and fell. Remember, Jack Gibson took Peter Sterling under his wings and just look how much PS blossomed in a true sincere loving environment. DA & PO are now bringing the best out of each other and this will rub off on to the whole club and district. TS, if he puts the hard work in to strengthen his body, will blossom into a world class 7 or 6.

Jason Taylor knew about this negative void (he felt it) but could do nothing because of the circumstances, particularly not having the power to execute. If Jason Taylor stayed on for 2007 the Eels would have not only been in the GF but more than likely have won it. It was DA (his EGO) who stuffed up what could have been for 2007.

Now with PO and DA on board, TS will be provided with the nurturing environment to unfold his huge array of talent. Let me tell you, we have all seen nothing yet with TS. It's now up to TS if he is to come on board and fulfill his vision at the Eels.

TIM SMITH:thumb

And yes, there is a world class forward looking at the EELS right now and if he comes on board PO & DA will bring the best out of him.

And yes, there is another world class player looking at joining the Eels as well. But will it be 2011 or 2010. Its up to PO and this player agreeing to drop his asking price. My bet, he will drop his price because he deperately wants a premiership or two or three or four before he retires and he knows something big is growing out Parra way. Will he follow his heart??? Only time will tell or should I say, PO does not stop wooing him over.

Booooooo Casper:lol:
