Stagger knows everything. They are rumored. But he would know more.
I think out of them 3, you could say luke burt is as good as gone.

Are you blind?

I've stated that Burt is 100% not leaving. You can't get any clearer than that.

Mandatory vaccination is coming our way and with it whatever they decide to include in the vaccine.

Also, notice how certain vegetables are now being subjected to mandatory irradiation in the US? Celery and spinach I think, off the top of my head? That's just the start.

You're calling Tim Smith an average player? Don't like arguing with fellow parra fans, but mate you have got to be kidding, he is up there with the best half backs in the NRL.

So good in fact he ended up in England playing for Wigan and spent a good deal of his first season there in their seconds. He had some good games in Englad and picked up a coupleof MOTM but if he is truly in the upper echelon of NRL halfbacks where are the clubs falling over themselves to re-sign him? The clubs that were falling over themselves a few years ago now want little to do with him.

Tim is a decent halfback. No, you don't win Rookie of the Year because you are crap however you have to back it up and show some improvement on the field. 2006 was a write off. 2007 was much better but he still went missing during crucial games. A further two years away in a comptition that he should dominate but hasn't doesn't appeal either.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - Tim Smith is a clear step backwards for the club. However if Anderson decides to get hm back to the club I hope it is on our terms and not on Riolos. He is a big risk and needs to prove himself at Wentworthville before he makes the top grade again.

You can pull out all the videos and accuse people of not knowing anything about football, but at the end of the day while I would like to see him return to regular NRL football I don't think he will at this club.

We further risk losing the likes of Keating and Mortimer after investing time and money to bring them through after he left before.

I think we all know who the negative influence on TS was, I'm not sure if they are allowed to be named, but I'd put a large wager on MR, and then to a less extent BF.

While we are getting all excited about possible world class signings I'm actually getting worried that guys like Grothe or MoiMoi might not be around for such a promising year. It's obvious 2010 will be the last years for Burt and Cayless and i'd like to send them out with the big one.

Then bring on the world class signings for 2011 to continue the dynasty.

So let me get this right...

Tim Smith has a great debut year. Performs averagely in the NRL in subsequent years and doesn't live up to his potential. Performs woefully in four NRL games last year, before seeking a release from the club admitting he is not up to the NRL. Goes to England and plays off the bench last year, gets a start this year and gets dropped. Gets reinstated to firsts when Wigan suffer injuries, strings some good games together before getting injured and out for the season.

And suddenly we think Tim Smith is going to return to the NRL and Eels and hit his 2005 debut season form again?

Happy to sign him for 55K and have him at Wenty and as third string halfback behind the developing talents of Keating and Mortimer. Kind of like the current Robson role (behind Finch and Keating), but lets not put all the weight back on Tim's shoulders that he couldn't handle the first time round just yet...

In a nutshell Bart. I wouldn't touch him if it was my call.

anyone care to summarise the last 24 pages in 25 words or less?

Tahu is in, according to rumours we will be soon announcing the signings of at least 23 other players, some of which are forwards, a couple of halfbacks, and a few players from our 2007 squad which may or may not be forwards.
Oh yes and tim smith is sh*t

also tim smith is the best.

;-) roughly anyway.

im sorry but a halfback who made 1 line break in what was suppost to be a good year (2007), just cannot cut amongst the current crop of halbacks!! and can no way in the world be considered as 'one of the best in the nrl'

I agree totally with the last paragraph and this is not a shot at you, but my god it amazes me how people can say the kid was average after 2005 and use 2008 as an example of why he shouldn't be signed. Sure, he was very disappointing in 2006 but he was still excellent in 2007, and was a major reason for us getting as far as we did. He was top 2 or 3 for try assists in a side that, while we got to one game away from the end, had something of an indifferent year really. And then in 2008, everything fell apart and footy was clearly the last thing on his mind...if there is a reason for not signing him it's certainly not a footballing one, it's a mental one.

Bartman I think it's pretty obvious you're letting your dislike of Tim Smith influence your opinion on his playing ability. He had a great 2007 not average where he was ranked 2nd in try assists after Thurston and responsible for our team marching to the finals.

Also why are a few good games in England insignificant but a few games in 2008 suddenly significant enough to be considered a woeful season?

I forgot to mention the 24 current players who are definitely being cut, as well as the 24 that are definitely staying.
