Cheer up Emo kid

Haha, you don't know how funny that is. Emo kid? I eat those f**kers for breakfast.

But it's ok. Maybe some day someone will actually care about who you are. Actually, probably not. It'll just be the same as everyone else on here bar me - not even a second glance.

tbh, as ecstatic I was i did feel slightly meloncholy at the fact that we've decided to put these sort of performances togther when the horses well entruly bolted...

where was this early in the year, oh well bottoms up!! great win.

Yeah I know, but if by some miracle we keep this sort of form up, who knows anything is possible. I'm not talking GF's, but semi's, who knows?

EELS fans may have to wait a little longer than expected to see Tahu back on the paddock in the blue and gold.
Not only does the club still have a few hoops to jump through to get the salary cap tick of approval from the NRL, it has also been advised that if he does come back in 2010 he still has a two-match suspension to serve for a head slam from his last match in 2007. Luckily the judiciary rules allow players to use a maximum of two official pre-season matches to serve suspensions, which would allow him to debut in round one next year.

so the 'little longer' is that he will only miss the trials? f**k me they love to milk a headline don't they?

Well, from what PO had to say, its not even a done deal yet. Tahu is still yet to get the release.

Don't see the ARU standing in his way, he doesn't want to be there. It would be stupid for them to keep him. They don't even know how to use him.

yeah I don't think the ARU side of things is the concern - more the, can we get him a 3rd party deal to up his salary that the NRL is happy with

Paul Osborne is not going to confirm anything until it is official obviously. If he's keen on coming back he will, regardless of 3rd party payments. I doubt it would be too hard to find a 3rd party sponsor for a player of his profile. The only problem is like with Craig Wing and Mark Gasnier, they can be iffy as they cannot be guarenteed by the club.

I believe eelsta...

I've been away for 8 days and am only up to page 12 of this thread so far, but I just have to reply to this.

It wasn't that long ago Stagger that you were telling us that we had NO money to spend under the 2010 cap.
We've since signed Poore, Shackleton and Tahu.
Any other tidbits of inside info for us Stagger?? :D

Well, we have lost Finch, so there is $300k, Hindmarsh's contract has been back loaded. We are letting go of a few players and we are hopefully going to offload some of the more "over paid" players we have.

It's too difficult to speculate. Apparently Cayless's last contract was backloaded so he'll count more in the cap next year. So could others. While Hindy's pay for next year will be paid in the backend of his new contract. Hopefully we're not paying both Hindy and Tahu 400k in 2012 otherwise all it will mean is we'll be very tight for salary cap space at the end of 2011.

Brilliant news, PO and DA are doing very good things for our club.

Don't forget, it was the previous board and DF who signed up Daniel Anderson, so kudos to them for that.
On the other hand, Ozzie has wasted no time in making his mark. The Tahu signing came from left field that no one saw coming. Amazing work in a short space of time.

It must also be mentioned that it was Spagnolo that was instrumental in gaining Poore's signature. Another coup.
Currently, I feel very happy about our new management group.

Sorry, my mistake.
So when you said we had no money to spend next year, you actually meant we had sh*t loads.

Right.
