Souths took part in the first game of the inaugural competition when it started on Easter Monday, 20 April 1908. They defeated North Sydney 11-7 at Birchgrove Oval. Souths won the inaugural Sydney premiership beating Eastern Suburbs 14-12 in the final

The inaugural NSWRL season, a competition which has been defunct for some years now.

I understand this is a difficult concept for you to grasp, but this competition whose past "glories" you like to trade on was little more than a suburban barely pro city comp that sometimes struggled to feature 9 sides - some of which were made up by a bunch of uni students :lol:

I suppose I shouldn't be too surprised though, I am dealing with a Souffs fan after all and you lot aren't famous for your intellects :lol:

It's just a shame that Souffs never got to prove if they were the best team in the country against the mighty Fortitude Valley Diehards from the Queensland RL and their 24 premierships (wow! even more than Souffs!)

The other day Vic was talking about you in the NRL Expansion Tigers thread.

He said you stopped going for the Tigers as they bullied you. He said that was the real reason why you stopped supporting Tigers.

yeah the movie came out in 1987, so a little bit before you were born. i turned 7 that year, and watched it when it came out. i think you would find it funny. i know i did. vic and a lot of the other tiger tards are compulsive liars. i don't feel bullied at all. some of them will attack me on here, but i give it back. most of the time i just ignore them now because they are so pathetic and a waste of time. i actually feel sorry for them. the only person i know who has more lies told about them is donald trump, lol. they don't love me and i don't take it as a compliment, although if scum like them hate me then i guess i am doing something right

Alien they are great little dogs the King Charles we have a little boy tan and white he lives on cuddles and sleeps all day I told the mrs he could get a job at Captain Snooze testing out all the beds when I get home his eyes are like cheech and chong for 5 minutes and boy does he snore

winning the comp is winning the comp. back in those days that was the top comp. i wouldn't have expected the comp to have as many teams back then since the population was much smaller and it was only nsw teams. the fortitude valley diehards aren't even in the top comp, so souths are above them

Oi shadow what disgusts me is members/fans who leave early. I hate it. That's not loyalty. These are not real supporters.

I always stay the full 80 with the boys even if we are losing by 50-60 points.

my tips are: souths,broncos,raiders,roosters,dragons,warriors,tigers,sharks.

Shadow I'm 0 out of 2 and it doesn't bother me.

I couldn't tip the scum.

Bullshit, pride of the league you are not. Check your facts, Port Kembla on the South Coast has won 22 first grade premierships. Souths have won 21. Souths legend David Boyle played for Port Kembla but did not win a comp with Port.
