You don't get 19th man FWD unless you're considered close to NRL selection. So it means that he's ticking all the boxes. Are you not following his progress ? He's been one of the (only?) form young forwards so far this year.

I still think he’s a long way from selection. Cause to celebrate when he debuts, not when he’s named AFTER the guy who might play if there’s an injury in the warm up or 2 HIAs

Sure, but he'll get to do the captains run and be part of the pre-game NRL stuff. That's why he's been selected. It's not tokenism, it's very much a reward for hard work.

Not only that, when canberra were 1 man down we just played one out.

I think that's the gameplan. Just power thru the middle irrespective of the opposition.

Or its ingrained into them so much that they don't really play eyes up unless we are playing catchup

It’s a known flaw, to try to go around the opposition when they’re a man down. The Defence doesn’t play with a big hole where the missing defender would be, they just spread out more.

That's what all the other teams do to us when we are a man down and they score like 2-3 tries

Yep and when you get momentum, the key is to attack the 3 and 4 in defender on the side they are short and get a quick play the ball. Then you double up again on that side the next play. Should be plenty of space for a 3 on 2.

Sure. These situations aren't indepedent though. You end out defending and defending if you dont go forward. But yeh it depends on what option you have in the given week,
