Any decent matches on Genesis?

The two taped PPVs sound interesting. Silly concept, but interesting shows none the less.

I have heard nothing but positive feedback for the two taped PPVs. Will acquire them as soon as I can.

Genesis was a shining example of the fact TNA do not know how to sell a pay-per-view. Some of those Most of those matches are TV quality at best - particularly DOC v Sting and Devon v Park.

The booking bemused me no end. Opting for York to go over King was weird, as was keeping the belts on the entirely heatless Chavo/Hernandez pairing.

Main event sounds good though.

Surprised and happy they gave Daniels the win there. Looking forward to seeing Bad Influence tear strips off of Hardy.

Haven't seen Genesis. But the last Impact was the first show in God only knows how long, for either big company, that I've sat through top to bottom and not flicked to another channel. Even the wife came in and sat down, hasn't watched wrestling in years, and thought some parts were very clever. Their main event which was basically featured in that show's semi main-event is excellent, and they should be commended for getting the main event in that order. Storm, Roode, Aries, they're not WWE buys, and they've been booked fantastically well. I found myself getting right behind James Storm, he plays the best Cowboy in years in pro wrestling, and the Aries-Roode showmanship was fantastic to watch.

I'm on board the TNA train.

Storyline and booking wise, TNA is killing WWE (except when Hogan turns up, then a black hole of stupid emerges). WWE has the star power though, and enough good hands to keep the ship upright. While TNA had the better of the Indy guys for years, I feel WWE is ahead of them in that department now.

But TNA is the best TV product at the moment, no doubt.

How TNA are not snapping up more of these indy darlings is beyond me. They should be bashing down the door of guys like Steen, El Generico (too late), Callihan, Richards, and Okada (although they already botched him once before).

Cycle out the guys like Devon, Anderson, Gunner, and RVD.

Honestly I think with HHH in charge and CM Punk in a top position, WWE is going to have an easier time with the indy guys. Particularly after watching TNA between 2009-2011.

Truth. TNA have an abysmal record in turning indy stars into top tier guys of late. Hard to believe they managed to turn the likes of Storm, Styles, Joe, Daniels etc into bigger stars.

TNA were on a good thing with Joe + Styles coming out of ROH, same with Aries right now. The only guys TNA genuinely built up were Ron Killings (I know he was in WWE as K-Kwik, but he was barely above a glorified jobber) and Bobby Roode. They have a chance with James Storm, remains to be seen if they will pull the trigger on him though.

TNA is a company that has had problems from day one but to their credit have managed to stay in business for over a decade, which is more than you can say for a lot of promotions.

They've been on a roll since Bound For Glory 2011 but they're starting to fall into some bad habits. They need to wrap up Aces and Eights and move onto their next set of programs.

The Aces and Eights thing is just so cheesy. I think they could keep them going and the theory behind it is cool(bikies and wrassslin' is logical fit) but they do not have to be a top stable and use up so much time. I really do not want to sit through meetings "at the table" especially with guys in masks and fake bane voices ffs.

It is a good way to use guys like Devon, Knox, Gallows etc. Just keep them in the middle/low end of the card. Kinda like a more skillful DOA for 2012.

Mistake #1 was having Devon involved. Not that it didn't make sense (it did), just that nobody gives two f**ks about Devon. Lightning isn't striking twice. Bubba was always the talent in that pairing.

I don't even object to Gallows and Knox - both talented big guys. The issue is that this unmasking has been so protracted and the whole angle has been treading water. It needs to evolve.

I have similar concerns for SHIELD now. They've slipped to the backburner plot wise and just seem to be content to run in during matches and promos. There's no evolution there.

I don't think they will fire Devon so if you are going to use him you might as well stick him in a stable like this imo. But yes they would be better served giving him his papers and using that spot on someone else.

Firing him made more sense, although I imagine Bully would be upset about it.Better he be a henchman than the God damn leader though.

When the Aces + Eights thong reaches its height, I expect the Dudley Boyz to be back together with Bully Ray in a top position in the group. I have a bad feeling though we are about to see the TNA version of the McMahon-Helmsley era, the Dudley-Hogan era...
