I've heard this week's Impact/No Surrender was fantastic. Some reviewers calling the Bully Ray v Anderson match the best title match they've seen all year.

I don't know if I rate the BR/Anderson match THAT highly. Seemed to be over-booked fun more than anything epic. I thought AJ stole the show with his in ring work. The Styles Clash off the top rope was great. Aries and Styles was the match of the night.

Show was pretty forgettable save for the main event.

Even then, by no DQ Hardy standards it wasn't anything special.

TNA just began an angle at Tommy Dreamer's House of Hardcore event. At the end of the main event, while Tommy Dreamer and Terry Funk were still in the ring, Bully Ray hit the ring appearing to cut a pro ECW + Dreamer + Funk promo, but then went heel and started beating down both of them with his chain. Finally Bully Ray challenged Tommy Dreamer to a Falls Count Anywhere Street Fight at TNA One Night Only: Old School.

TNA already has posted it on their YouTube channel.

So a new PPV based around old feuds. Could be great, could be a train wreck.

Brutus Magnus def Jeff Hardy in a Ladder Match to become the "official" TNA World Champion. Hardy had the match won, but was pushed off the ladder by Dixie Carter's assistant Rockstar Spud.

Should set up a pretty good match with Styles when he returns. I like that we're seeing some newer faces being pushed towards the top

It's the best option TNA could have come up with given the circumstances.

Is Magnus really ready for a World Championship run? No, not really but TNA desperately needed to make new stars and they've been pushing Magnus all year so why not pull the trigger?

The mission now is to build him up and give him some good heat before AJ Styles returns for their inevitable showdown. If it was up to me, I'd book him with James Storm who's been a TNA favourite for a long time and can easily win the support of the crowd and market a must-see TV special main event.

Away from television specials, I'd probably throw him into a feud with Eric Young, who I believe could play a great underdog babyface and you could really piss fans off by having Magnus dash their hopes of him getting this awesome moment.

Joe is another no-brainer as well and there shouldn't be a problem putting Magnus against Sting in a rematch.

Post-Magnus reign gets tricky, and it will be up to TNA to re-invent and come up with new stars to try and win viewers. Meanwhile, they need to stick to staples that placate the fans they do have (eg. X Division, Lockdown etc.)

Instead they throw AJ right in there and make a match immediately, which will either make the loser look weak.

No kidding?

Well, that's just silly but hey you can always build to Joe/Magnus and give Joe a good run with the belt. Personally, I'd take Joe as champion over AJ at this stage.

Also seems like I'm totally out of the loop, as Storm is currently a heel by the looks of things.

Guess after such a forgettable 2013 it was bound to happen but I always saw him as a good pinch hitting type of babyface that the TNA faithful would be happy to get behind whenever.

Magnus def. AJ Styles in a No DQ Match to become the TNA Undisputed Heavyweight Champion. Heaps of run ins for both guys, with Bobby Roode destroying Styles for Magnus to pick up the win. GO MAG DADDY!!!

P.S. BP, Storm is a face, he's getting more and more pissed at Gunner for costing them the Tag Titles repeatedly. Possible heel turn for the Genesis PPV, but it would be a bad call on TNA's part.
