Very poor show this week.

However, I totally disagree with the debut of the Wolves being horrible. 90% of the television viewers wouldn't know who these guys are and you need to build up some kind of expectation before throwing them out there in a tag match.

If they were to go into a match, who are they going to face straight away? Bro Mans? Parks and EY? Bad Influence? Gunner & Storm?....All those guys are tied up in storyline on this week's show.

Build them up, have them talked about, give them something meaty to get introduced to the face with.

That would be fine if the segment wasn't so sterile and the focus wasn't on some new Authority Figure for Dixie to feud with.

Plus, they suck at cutting promos so there's that too.

They were set up as a "smart" mark debut, and have a huge IWC following. Using them as some pawn in a "new part owner" storyline to me is pretty weak. Particularly in the follow up.

Either way, the smarks / internet fans were going to crap on it......to be honest, the storyline just started....and they're going to be a major part of it.....don't see how that does nothing but promote them as a big deal....they're holding their debut off until they unleash them, and in my opinion, the fans will explode when they do.

Having them come out and annihilate a team or show how good they are....would have been pointless...they're supposed to be a good team....do you hotshot the titles on them on the first night or go over a Dewey and Norm team?

Either way, they SEEM to be trying to establish a tag division (which with TNA is a big SEEM) and going over any team on the first, bar jobbers, would be pointless and demote guys who have been doing a good job of late.

You're overestimating the fanbase and giving way too much credit to the segment. It was a lousy deal that exposed both men's weaknesses (ie lack of charisma, ability to speak) and really nobody knows the Wolves that well and those that do have soured on them considerably in recent times.

I appreciate the attempt at something different and think long term they're a good acquisition but they should have just played it safe - shot some good pre-tape hype videos, had them wrestle a good match against a team that could keep up and sell their offence like death and voila. From there, you put them into a Non-Title rivalry and build towards an eventual tag team match with the champions (preferably Bad Influence).

Apparently the show in Glasgow (the 30/1/14 show) will feature not one but two debuts.

MVP at this stage is a lock, the second is unknown.

Also, the reason for the Wolves segment is that they were originally planned to attack the Bro-Mans but TNA couldn't get a wrestling liscenced sorted with the Alabama federation in time - hence the lackluster debut segment.

I really hope TNA can stop over-booking these Magnus championship matches. So far, not so good.

Also, Angle is nuts.

James Storm turned on Gunner and appears to have reformed Beer Money with Bobby Roode

Should make for some top matches vs The Wolves.

Should be sweet.

Who really should be a much bigger star than he is. Both guys are basically just perrenial mid-carders, just like Dolph Ziggler & Cody Rhodes.

Gunner up until his run with Storm has been nothing, and will return to nothing. Reforming Beer Money works because TNA has always built their top contenders for any title as being the best for any title. So Beer Money being in the Tag Title picture works for both as theyre able to transition into singles titles without issue.

At least the tag scene is starting to get back on track.

Beer Money
Wolves
Bad Influence
Wishful thinking but MCMG would round it off nicely. Come back Shelley.

So at Lockdown we're looking at...

TNA World Heavyweight Championship Match
Samoa Joe vs. Magnus (c)

Lethal Lockdown
Team MVP (MVP, Gunner & The Wolves) vs. Team Dixie (Ethan Carter III, Rockstar Spud & Beer Money)

Not bad on paper. TNA has been doing a reasonable job of building Joe up as a monster and WarGames is a decent filler match.

Also just in case anybody is like me and needs reminding...

Current TNA Champions
TNA World Heavyweight Champion: Magnus (Since the 19/12/13)
TNA Television Champion: Abyss (Since the 2/6/13)
TNA X Division Champion: Austin Aries (Since the 23/1/14)
TNA Knockouts Champion: Madison Rayne (Since the 16/1/14)
TNA Tag Team Champions: The Bro-Mans (Since the 20/10/13)

They need to get the belt off the Bro-Mans pronto. Rayne & Aries can defend their respective belts, I'm sure we'll see Abyss take on Young but the TV title may as well be retired.

I reckon even the Voodoo Kin Mafia could take down the Bro-Mans.
