I've always had a soft spot for TNA and they've been churning out great *wrestling* lately, but it's getting to the point that their credibility is so shot to shit that nobody really takes them seriously anymore.

I don't think anybody ever thought they'd bring the WWE down, but I do remember a time where they were talked about as a contender. These days their TV reports don't even headline wrestling news sites anymore.

They have no format, they tape 2 months in advance, they tape a bunch of one night only specials that replace impact, but aren't impact and aren't PPV, seem to have no relevance to storylines, and yet they still have things like 'no 1 contender matches" on there which nobody really knows when it's a contender for because nobody knows when they're going to air.

I have a soft spot for them as well, but they're impossible to keep track of and have no real direction.

Agreed.

All of the good wrestling matches in the world don't matter when the storylines aren't much good, the results are already known, and there's no PPV to build towards.

One Night Only are a great idea in concept, but they don't work when they're taped so far in advance that everybody knows the outcomes and they completely disrupt storylines or feature people who are no longer with the company going over people who are.

Sadly, agree.

TNA's audience has dropped with the station move as you'd expect, but Destination America is much better off because of it so they may be open to extra programming. Would love to see TNA run 6 PPV style live events per year in the usual Sunday night slot, live on Destination America rather than PPV.

2 month build up, live event on the same channel as Impact so you know it will get the advertisement and attention. At the very least it would give something exciting for TNA storylines to build towards and give the creative team some sort of guide where they can start/finish/develop storylines in some sort of structured time frame.

I daresay Jarrett's new venture is likely to usurp them as the #2 act in town. That's if Lucha Underground doesn't do it first

Just saw the debut of Dollhouse (Mia Yim + Marti Belle), and god I hope they do better next week. The match between Jade (Yim) and Cherry Bomb was meh, but their interference in the main event was laughable. Some of the worst ever kendo stick shots you will ever see!

They've had great in ring stuff lately, but I'd argue their story lines haven't been very compelling. Might be the change they need.

So, any ideas on the former World Champion TNA are bringing in as the guest referee for the TNA World Title match? When TNA have said World Champion before, they have included the Tag Titles as a World Championship.

So the former TNA World Heavyweight Champions available are (* = no chance, and excluding Angle + Young)

- Ken Shamrock
- Ron Killings *
- Jeff Jarrett *
- AJ Styles *
- Raven
- Rhino *
- Christian *
- Sting *
- Abyss
- Samoa Joe
- Mick Foley
- RVD *
- Jeff Hardy
- Ken Anderson
- James Storm
- Bobby Roode
- Austin Aries
- Bully Ray
- Chris Sabin *
- Brutus Magnus
- Bobby Lashley

Now they are promoting it as a returning World Champion. So that would rule out Bobby Roode, Abyss, Austin Aries, Ken Anderson, Jeff Hardy, Bobby Lashley, James Storm, and Brutus Magnus.

Bully Ray is the guest referee. One time gig at this stage.

Also returning is Bully Ray's booty call - Velvet Sky

Happy with all three of those. Two favourites and a guy who still has immense upside potential IMO.

Bully Ray was a one shot, while Velvet Sky + "the other guy" are supposedly back full time.

Though with Bully Ray willing to pop back in, perhaps that door has not fully closed yet.
