not taking reefys side or anything, BUT, from the quotes in that thread you pointed out, he was purely saying that Simmo should have been put into PL after the PL wingers had some very solid performances. VALID POINT!
if the coach didn't do anything to a team throughout the year bar for injuries and suspensions, there would be the same flaws in the side every week and the PL players would only be hoping for injuries/suspensions to actually get a go.
i have bagged every single sharks player currently in the team. doesn't mean i think they should all be in PL. when they have a bad game, i get dirty. it is alot worse when it is a fringe player. a regular (ala Noddy, Stevo, Peach) will get more sympathy from me since they've been there, done that.
once upon a time, there lived two giants called Wessel and Tweddle. they played footy (although not very well). after a couple of games in the top grade, most supporters were calling for their heads. this is the same situation. an underperforming first grade player being kept in the team for the wrong reasons instead of the younger, IN-FORM PL players
that, IMO, was what reefy was saying. an IN-FORM player to replace an OUT-OF-FORM player
