yep swap simmo for scott

Nope. Albert is a right winger. If he's not fullback or centre he'll be on Simmons wing I'd imagine. Scoring tries in the Beer Hill corner.

Is Nonu Polynesian? - YES
Is Nonu a Centre-Wing? - YES
Is Nonu a Star? - YES

I don't know who it is either, but I do thinks its fair to say that Nonu does fit the description of the article. So that my lesson in logic.:p

Along with 100s of others.

That's a lesson in straw clutching not logic.

As a matter of fact the only thing that can be drawn from that article is that he is Polynesian. Star is subjective. Centre/Winger is general. :)

C'mon Mate, 13 hours its taken you to come up with that??
Your slipping. :p

Challenge: Name 3 players who are: Polynseian, Centre - Wing and are a Star player.

If it is Nonu, it would be a huge signing.

You struggle with logic don't you. The time frame between replies means nothing. I actually replied within minutes of reading your post. So nice try but no banana for you.

Challenge: Too easy to bother with. If I could be bothered I could name 20 just by going to google and getting the threequarters from all the Polynesian National Rugby sides. That's before looking at leaguies. Would prove me more correct than you in fact.

Nonu would be a good signing based on potential. He's a non league player who can't make the All Blacks.

No I don't struggle with logic at all. By responding to Thomo_shark and Surelys posts first means that you look at the last page first and work backwards. No problems with that at all.

So, we've gone from "hundreds of others" to "20 from google" when I have asked for 3. I think it might be more difficult than you may perhaps have thought. Polynesian, Centre -Wing, Star.

However, I am assuming that this person IS NOT under contract. So that would limit the options even further.

Here's the latest article on Nonu

"Nonu factor dual test for Ralph
21 September 2005
By RICHARD KNOWLER

Given the choice, Caleb Ralph would rather tackle a big, direct-running opponent than a smaller, unpredictable, jack-rabbit side-stepper.

On Friday night he believes he will get a mixture of both when he lines up against Wellington captain Ma'a Nonu in the Ranfurly Shield defence at Jade Stadium.

Both teams will be released today, but it is expected Canterbury's Ralph will again be named in his new second five-eighths position to face Nonu.

At 1.87m tall, Ralph is 5cm taller than Nonu, but at 95kg he gives away at least 7kg to his burly opponent who has a reputation of being able to gas around some players while steamrolling over the unluckier ones.

"A big guy that runs straight (is easier to defend against) but Ma'a is good at both," Ralph said.

"He's got the ability to run straight and change direction quite quickly – so it's a challenge.

"I've marked him a couple of times. It's definitely a different kettle of fish against that Wellington backline because of their attacking firepower."

Like Ralph's, Nonu's international rugby career has had its dips and dives over the last two years and despite spending much of their careers on the wing, both prefer the midfield.

They last opposed each other on the wings in last year's NPC final and although Nonu made several of his trademark rampaging runs that night, it was Ralph who carried the biggest smile after Canterbury eased home with a 40-27 win.

........"

The rest is full of crap.

Anyway, it doesn't seem like he's gonna come, seeing as hes the captain of a red-hot club side.

Bookie, I say this with total respect, but the fact that Nonu is the Captain of Wellington means nothing really. The NPC is a quality competition, but I can say 100% fact that captaining Wellington in the NPC would be enough to keep him there.

I know for a fact that a NZ All Black contract is regarded on terms with an NRL contract, in terms of $ value, generally speaking.

I have no idea if he is signing or not, but he was the first player to come to mind when I read the article in The Leader.

Maybe we'll get someone back from the UK? 3 Bradford names come to mind. Vainokolo, Hape and maybe even Tevita Vaikona who recently went to Union. Hape would be the pick for mine, class player.

FMFF not only do you struggle with logic but you have a penchant for false assumptions. Responding to the others first was simply because I didn't see your post - it wasn't very eyecatching I suppose :)

No it's not harder, but I'm not playing whatever game it is you are trying to entice me into. It's really simple as I said. "Star" is subjective. To a Samoan a star winger might be what you call a nuffie. A 17 year old can be dubbed a star e.g Brackin-Henry.

I don't doubt that, you are always assuming. Contracts mean nothing, as they say, everything is for sale if the price is right.
