That's right I did say that, and I stick by it. You asked who our best forward was in attack and I answered that. Whats with all the capitals?? you angry or something? Injuries aside Cross came here talking himself up as the next Harragon, or Butterfield. So far in the games he's played he's been no better than the average front rower, so he's been ordinary.

He was covering for Royal who was underdone and Wicks who is morbidly obese.

In my opinion he was quite good under the circumstances.

The six missed tackles I attributed to Wicks are from the team stats, not the internet.

Seems to be some disappointment in Wicks? I thought it was his best game and I didn't notice any bad defense from him that led to tries unlike Royal and Cross?

Wicks was lazy out of marker and Cross had to cover for him. Cross missed the cover tackle and the Raiders scored. Technically Cross missed the tackle but Wicks caused the situation that had to be cleaned up.

Pika, I'm not blaming Cross, I'm blaming Smith full stop. I said Cross was ordinary and Shane took exception to that, and that's fine too, we're all entitled to an opinion.

For what it's worth I can see how the team stats showed 6 missed tackles by Wicks. He missed tackles simply by not being fast enough to cover the gaping hole that the opponents ran through. Not an NRL official missed tackle because the bloke was too slow getting there to even get a hand on the attacking player, but a bad miss all the same - a miss another more agile/fit forward stops.

Thoughts for today.

- We really missed maddog his been very influential in defence and attack on his side of the field.
- Mullen is the missing man in tough games and even games in general. Very disappointed with his season.
- Cross was strong, like has been stated to many mins, what annoys me is that his entire season has been focussed on making rep teams and he seems to have had very little passion for us.
- Wicks/Royal - 1 is fat and useless though did make impact when hit the line, the other clearly needed a couple of weeks in the reggies for fitness.
- Gidley/Buderus - Both clearly carrying injuries and far from at top form.
- Patterson and Simmo in our backrow are the highlights for me. Best players on paddock today.
- Houston is a neville looks ineffective in attack and defence and nearly gets penalised every bloody tackle he does for either niggling or holding down.
- Mass changes were nothing short of a joke taking out form players for players who were very underdone.

Pretty unfair comment mate. House has been outstanding in his defencive workrate and had to make up a lot of ground for his tubby flat mate yesterday. He needs to run harder in attack though that is true, perhaps he was to fugged from covering our front rowers tackle work?
