TLL and Mick Weyman havnt played a minute of footy this year, and a specialist halfback on the bench? I dont like that one bit
Graham is awesome, imo one of the more under-rated players in the comp, if he played for a high profile sydney club he'd be up there with some of the highly regarded centres in the comp, so would toddy and tongue, but lets see how they go in country origin before we start pegging them for SOO

Toddy is a real chance though if he keeps his form

No bias id say hayne would be in for a run (not on this year form) rather the fact he made the australian Squad. Carney i dont think will get a run, i think they will go with Finch or Anaster at 5-8, and Gower at halfback (or Johns if he plays). I think it will look a little like:
Mini
Hayne
King
Lyon
Grothe
Finch
Gower
OMealy
Budderous
Bailey
Hindmarsh
Simpson
ODonnell

Farah
Masson
Ryles
Ryan/Watmough

4. Matt Cooper
5. Eric Grothe
6. Jarrod Mullen
7. Andrew Johns
8. Mark O'Meley
9. Danny Buderus
10. Jason Ryles
11. Nathan Hindmarsh
12. Andrew Ryan
13. Luke O'Donnell

14. Luke Bailey
15. Kurt Gidley
16. Steve Simpson
17. Willie Mason

That's the side i expect for Origin 1, not the side i would pick. If Johns plays he will push for Mullen to be selected.

The point about that side though, and I realise you said it's not the one you would pick, but on this year's form and what he's shown in first grade since he's come in, Mullen doesn't deserve an Origin spot. He's hardly set the world on fire, but because he's from Newcastle everyone knows about him.

Hayne will not play Origin. Matt King is ahead of Grothe AND Hayne.

I think the team should look something like this.

1. Stewart
2. King
3. Lyon
4. Cooper
5. Merrit
6. Carney
7. Johns

Hayne and Grothe on stand by for any injuries. I cant see Finch getting picked. Gower is a 7 not 6. I think Johns should be picked at 7. He has always risen to the challenge at Origin. Wouldnt be surprised to see Craig Wing somewhere in the sqaud even though form hasnt been greatest. Sutton and Matuia are both ahead of Anasta IMO. He has been a shadow of his former self ever since he joined Sydney. Minichiello is still finding his feet whereas Stewart has been on fire. Merrit has been an excitement machine and NSW need a gamebreaker like that to combat Inglis, Slater and co.

Thats just my 2 cents.

I reckon they'll go
Minichello
Hayne/Grothe
Cooper
Lyon
King
Anasta
Orford (unless Johns comes back)
Bailey/O'Meley
Buderus
Ryles
Mason
Hindmarsh
O'Donnell

Res
O'Meley/Bailey
Simpson
Creagh
Farah/Gidley/Gower

Stewart and MacKinnon will be unlucky, I think the selectors will stay conservative
