Well if you spend 6/7 figures sponsoring that club and you see that, you wouldn't be too happy that sort of activity is assosicated with your company.

Sponsors can pressure the club into sacking him, these guys are supposed to be professional athletes what other sport do you see their stars acting like this?

This is the problem. Players are expected to abide by a higher standard of behavior than the rest of us which is a double standard. He should cop the same punishment anyone else would.

If you were employed by company in a position that puts you squarely in the public eye you are then pretty much regarded as the face of that company.

It is not just an issue for NRL players, it is an issue for anyone employed in a similar capacity.
