You obviously missed my point in relation to rumoured amounts vs actual amounts.

My bad... Am hearing Carney being offered $850k from Penrith, $900k from Warriors....they are brutal figures.
Lets be honest, neither your team or mine has a player worth that amount of money.

TC isn't the next Sterlo in terms of TV and his analytical presence in front if a camera to earn coin post playing days, therefore why would you sacrifice an extra 3/4 of a million of over 5 years to play with certain players.

The thing is , with the salary cap going up a fair bit over the next few years the figures are changing on what we think a player is worth.

Also there is a lack of quality halves , which is driving up the price even more.
