NRL without CEO and second in command after Suzanne Young quits

Seems like an appropriate place for this....
Domino affect. I wouldn't be surprised if more followed.
Smith would still be in charge if News Ltd hadn't constantly attacked everything he did.

I still maintain he is a massive loss to the game.
So do i. The full affect of him leaving won't be seen in full until the next TV deal. He had Rupert by the short and Curly's and Grant IMO didn't have the spine to back Smith.

Must be something causing these people to leave.

Shitty head office? or the organisation itself in constant damage control due to player incidents?

or perhaps both

It must be extremely frustrating when the product you're dealing with is always being attacked from within (the players) and the media

Penrith boss Warren Wilson has stepped down from his role as Panthers Group CEO, citing personal reasons.
Wilson, who has been in the position since March 2012, controlled all matters pertaining to the chain of Panthers Leagues clubs along with an overarching role at the NRL franchise.
He has previously been mooted as a possible candidate to fill the vacant NRL CEO's role.

Coming up to 4 months since Dave Smiths resignation. Will we see a replacement before season kick off?
It took 5 1/2 months to appoint Smith after Gallop left.

you won't be happy with whoever gets the job so why do you care how long it takes?

Didn't Grant already come out and say that a new CEO won't be announced until something like at least a month after the season has started?

I think he said it will be well after that.

Can't see why it possibly has to take that long...unless they are waiting for a particular person to become available.

im sure i remember April being the predicted time, and then we could be waiting for the 3 months notice theyll probably need to give at their old place

Does anyone think it might be Gyngell? With Lee off to the roosters, he could potentially step down off their board, if he's still on it and go for the big job?

Guys got little to do nowadays.
