Ok mate ,you didn't understand.
On 20th March Franklin2323 asked you "What infrastructure does Perth have to prove they can sustain a team"
You responded in part
" Some very big and rich companies."
I simply asked "have they committed financially "on 20th March..Just a general ,not a smart a*se enquiry.
For me a big company is a major public company. It's no big deal if they haven;t been approached or knocked it back.Just asking FFS.
IOW just saying there are big companies in a state doesn't mean they'll jump on board. We have very big and rich companies domiciled in Sydney. The Storm is in a city with very big and rich companies and they have got Purple Brick ,as front of jersey sponsor.
Most of Sydney NRL club sponsors are middle tier companies yes some rich no doubt.eg Sharks with Ace Guttering.
The Cowboys have a big company.,Knights with NIB,Dragons with St George.
And I never claimed these big companies will jump on board, I’m glad you’ve admitted your mistake there. Having big rich companies in a city is a good start but no guarantee. Others have said over the years that companies are waiting to get on board but I have no idea who or how much as I’m not running a bid and don’t move in them circles.
How can they commit when there is no expansion and no bid? If nrl ever decides what it’s doing and calls for bids then I would think we will see bids lining up potential sponsors to show viability in their bid.
End of day size of company is irrelevant, it’s size of sponsorship that matters. Most clubs are in the $6-7million sponsorship range. That will be our starting target.
Re Purplebricks, ideal type of sponsor. New to Australia market, already got substantial international revenue, Looking to grow brand on back of a major sport.
