If they made a decision that was wrong fans would be like "okay, mistakes do happen', but don't second guess yourself. Standard of refereeing has never been poorer. Bring back Harrigan.

Rugber League always burns bridges with these guys on the way out. In my opinion there aren't enough smart people in the game to be able to afford to do that. He should be a candidate for CEO of NSWRL or the players association or the WNRL or something.

Just proves my point, when you have fans that are willing to accept a wrong decision over the right one to suit there team or hatred thereof, it will never appease some. Referees are an easy mark... let’s not forget the missed tackle that led to the try or the center who hogged the ball.

Even if the Nrl removes VR you can bet your bottom dollar that the clubs will employ a 5 yr old to scan through the game day footage and leak wrong decisions to the media to sway public opinion.

I guess his comment was too subtle for you? He was talking about the inclusivity of the game and how during his reign there has been a key focus on ensuring all groups can feel part of our great game.

Listening to Ennis the other night and his experiences of Greenberg at Bulldogs it is clear he is a very humanistic person and has a strong sense of social justice, and cares about players and staff.

Inclusivity ..what planet are you on .
We have had a gay player come out more than 2 decades ago .
A gay ref .
No one cared .
Yet your beloved afl has not had a gay player come out ..why .
They're too scared of the redneck southern backlash .
Then there's the issue of racism .
It's rife in the afl .Look at Goodes .
Was driven out of the game

In RL look at how our indigenous players are treated .
GI ...does a goanna ..crowd cheer
Goodes did a little war dance was massive backlash .

We have a huge list of players that are treated as RL gods .
So take off your afl goggles & take a look at how inclusive RL is .
We are so far ahead of AFL in that area it's not funny .

Josh Addo Carr also re-enactmented the famous Nicky Wimmar pose and the crowd cheered. We also had the first aboriginal captain of Australia in anything and he is loved and respected by all supporters. Rugby league is by far the best and most successful sport for aboriginals.

We also had a very devout Muslim playing for years who was highly respected by all supporters as well. Perth red is talking shit all right.

He very much could lol. You've forgotten Gallop already?

Whilst Todd struggled to manage the stakeholders (good luck with that one anyone who dares try!) and the growth in grassroots and national footprint hasnt done much,he was no visionary and the classic "consistency is over rated" quote will long be remembered, he was very successful in growing the games revenue despite the pressures to hand it all out to the states and clubs and players.
Problem being the NRL CEO is you have one hand tied behind your back by the clubs, one hand tied behind your back by the NSWRL/QRL and the media tying your legs together so you fall over. Then the chairman waiting there to stick the knife in when you fall.
Shtter of a job!
