I left school in 86.

I think Parra Pete had his 20 year high school reunion in 86 :D

No, it was 25 year. I left school in 1961... Seems like it was only yesterday. "Time flies, money flies and blow flies"

BTW.....The centre combination is Reg Gasnier and Dave Brown...and that came from a good source ;-)

My old man used to always say Ray Lindwall was a better fullback than churchill.

Mind you he was a hardcore dragons fan all his life.

Makes you about 67 ?

Makes me feel like 67....Fair way to go to get that target..
But I was only 21 what seems 6 months ago, 40 about 3 months ago and fifty about a week after that.
When you are an old goat, the years swish by....I am happy and proud of my life and my achievements...

IF I HAD MY LIFE OVER
If I had to live my life over again,
I'd dare to make more mistakes next time.
I'd relax. I would limber up.
I would be sillier than I have been this trip

I would take fewer things seriously.
I would take more chances. I would take more trips.
I would climb more mountains, swim more rivers.
I would eat more ice cream and less beans
I would perhaps have more actual troubles,
but I'd have fewer imaginary ones.

You see, I'm one of those people who live seriously and sanely,
hour after hour, day after day.

Oh, I've had my moments. And if I had it to do over again,
I'd have more of them.

In fact, I'd try to have nothing else, just moments, one after another,
instead of living so many years ahead of each day.

I've been one of those persons who never goes anywhere without
a thermometer, a hot water bottle, a raincoat and a parachute.
If I had it to do again, I would travel lighter than I have.

If I had to live my life over, I would start barefoot earlier in the spring
and stay that way later in the fall.

I would go to more dances
I would ride more merry-go-rounds.
I would pick more daisies.

Unless Bert was on the field - with him or against him, it made no difference. Wally played second string whenever Kenny was around.

They wouldnt even have footage of the the first few decades of rugby league. So any early players are going to be judged on memories from 75 years ago.

unfortunately, it looks like the wingers will be Brian Beaven and Ken Irvine.

i would love nothing more than to be wrong at this point but I don't think i am.

I know I've only seen 40 years of Rugby League, but I just cannot imagine a better winger than Eric Grothe Snr.
f**k those guys must have been good. :sarcasm:

what I'm pissed off about is that although Beavon was a freakish winger but he played 95% of his football in England!!!
