Put the heart of Martin Lang in him eg the courage to run off a 10m wind up at 20 miles an hour straight into the defence and he'd be near unstoppable. Instead he stands flat, and trys the gasnier shimmy shimmy woosh rubbish and ends up crabbing and easy for the defence to handle.

Also Manly don't find him enough with the short ball when he does bother to run a good line and instead use him as a decoy so ballhog Matai can bomb a try. Half the time Matai has received a cut out this year Williams was running into a one on one situation on the inside.

Glenn Stewart is much worse. Yet again he put in one of the softest performances i have seen. Gets put on his back everytime, leaving holes in the defense and hogging all of Lyons ball and wasting it. He is garbage and is really killing the team.

Interesting to see where Manly go from here. There forward pack is not waht it used to be and that is what their success was based from. Interesting times ahead.

Agreed.

Bit silly to single out T-Rex when every Manly forward played poorly tonight. All their forwards showed why none of them have been considered the best in their individual position.

Says who? Watmough was dally m second rower of the year 07 and 08. Stewart was the best fullback and arguably player in the world in 2008 and Glenn Stewart was the best lock in the world in 2011. Jamie Lyon is the best centre in the world currently. A few of their players have spent time as the best player in the world in their position.

Sorry pete, misread and missed the forwards part. Still Watmough and Stewart...

Galuvao was OK tonight but he's 34 and no idea if he's retiring or not.

Their front row has never been anything special but they usually perform alot better than that showing tonight, and when their backrow strength doesnt show up geez they looked poor.

They dont seem to have much in the way of forwards coming though. Will be interesting what happens next year, still a very good spine + Lyon

All good.

I'm talking undisputed THE best, like a Paul Gallen, Gorden Tallis or Nathan Hindmarsh type. Stewart & Watmough have received recognition from some areas but haven't ticked all the boxes.

Eh, came up with a costly error and penalty. Was their best but not saying a whole lot.

They've made some decent signings in Fa'aoso, Sao (one of the best props in NYC) & Chee-Kam (NYC second row of the year). Short term is a concern but with Trbojevic (NYC forward, probably the best U/18 prop in the game) coming through they should be right.

I assumed this was a play on words due to the fact he passes more than he runs. But either way it's correct, all the tools but none of the ability. When he has the ball he's more concerned with pushing blokes away or passing than making ground.

Comparisons to Taylor are a bit off, since Taylor has the skills but no brain.
