Tottenham Hotspur: "To Dare Is To Do" II

He played left side in his last game ffs with Cole usually in the right. Then again you are the same person who argued about the correct spelling of Gomes' name even when you were wrong.

I wasn't trolling. It's quite a simple equation. Buy Hazard. Sell Bale. Make profit because Bale will sell for more than Hazard. Not my fault you're either too stupid or too much of a stan to grasp it.

I like how you quote me saying "where did I say that" then quote me again where I didn't say that as if to prove a point :?

once again, thanks for your input

like Boxy said Bale is not for sale and we dont need the money

Hazard may have played left side in his last game but generally he's a right sided player

have a nice day

err pretty sure Hazard is primarily a left side player, he does play on the right occasionally though

IMO he's slightly better than Bale, but seriously how on earth will Tottenham be able to afford him... easily 30 mill+

Damn old man you take your Vicodin yet? Nobody said you needed the money

He's a 90% left side player. But hey you know everything. Coach to the cricketers, Levy's adviser now works football scout lol unlike Bale he is versatile.

never touched the stuff actually, you do realise its a pain killer

He's a 90% left side player.

he's a 90% player ?

But hey you know everything.

never said that but thank you

and btw, pot->kettle->black

Coach to the cricketers,

you left out "qualified", but once again, thank you

Levy's adviser now works football scout lol

sorry, not on the payroll

unlike Bale he is versatile.

lol, Bale played half of the Barcodes game on the right, and has been playing as a left sided striker in a 4-3-3 format recently, but hey he's not versatile

once again, thank you for your input

Why would we sell Bale then?
If both of them can play on the right, why would we cash in on the best left winger in the EPL when we can partner him with one of the best young wingers in the world?

Because Hazard is infinitely the better player? Bunch of f**king morons up in here.

Bale's only trick is to kick it beyond a defender and sprint.

Do I?

Maybe 2-3 months ago we could have but at the moment we can barely match it with Sunderland and Swansea so i'm assuming if we played you now the result would be similar to this mornings one with AC.

you're entitled to your opinion but everyone in this thread that has commented on the comparison disagrees with you

I just cant help but think your opinion on Bale is based on who he plays for and what league he plays in and if you think thats all he can do, have a look at how many goals he has scored this year

What a surprise, Toney failing again. He thinks he's shit hot because he continually owns pisshands, not realising that's about as much as an achievement as beating Souffs in round 26 to keep them out of the finals.

Tottenham are close to being sold in a £450million takeover, according to a report.

The story says Philip Anschutz, owner of American entertainment giants AEG and the 34th richest man in the USA with a £4.4 billion fortune, has been in talks with Spurs' current majority owner, Joe Lewis, for weeks.

A deal is not far away, continues the report, which claims Anschutz - who already owns David Beckham's Major League soccer side LA Galaxy - would keep current Spurs chairman Daniel Levy in place to run the club.

AEG owns London's O2 Arena and the MEN Arena in Manchester.

AMERICAN entertainment giants AEG are moving closer to a £450 million takeover Tottenham.

AEG owner Philip Anschutz, the 34th richest man in the USA with a personal wealth of more than £4.4 billion, has been in talks with Spurs’ Bahamas-based owner Joe Lewis for weeks.

The pair are close to concluding a deal and Anschutz wants to keep current chairman Daniel Levy in place at White Hart Lane as his man on the ground at the north London club.

The agreement would inject new funds into Tottenham’s coffers and make it harder still for bitter rivals Arsenal to compete for the Champions League places, with Chelsea and the Manchester clubs blocking their path. Spurs formed close links with the AEG group last year as they put together a bid to buy the Olympic Stadium as a new home.
But now Anschutz, a close friend of Lewis, is interested in buying the club itself.

Spurs delisted from the Stock Exchange in January in a move Levy declared at the time was necessary to secure funding. And last September they were granted planning permission for a new 56,000-seat ground at Northumberland Park.

Lewis, 75, who owns about 30 per cent of Spurs through his company ENIC, of which Levy is also chairman, has been keen to loosen his ties with the club for some time and at last it looks as if the right buyer may have come along.
The reclusive Anschutz has a close interest in football, having been a major investor in the early days of Major League Soccer in the USA. Through his Anschutz Entertainment Group he, at one point, owned the Colorado Rapids, Chicago Fire and the San Jose Earthquakes.

Anschutz currently owns LA Galaxy and played a key role in taking David Beckham to the club in 2007, as well as a majority stake in Houston Dynamo, plus several basketball and ice hockey clubs.
AEG still own the O2 Arena in London and Manchester’s MEN Arena, as well as other major sporting venues.

not sure but my take on it:

Firstly Spurs are not worth €450 million, more like €100-150 million so I think this valuation has more to do with owning and/or financing the new stadium. This has only come to light now since the new stadium plans have been approved yet the negotiations started as much as 12 months ago.

AEG are the worlds largest owner of sporting stadiums and thats how they make their money so it could just be that they are they new stadium sponsors or the deal includes the stadium and they'll reap their rewards from the stadium. No doubt this will also include the new stadium naming rights and that will be a huge income for us.

We need the larger stadium to get the bigger crowds to compete with the top teams on wages, as we have overachieved to get where we are atm and not pay anyone more than €70K a week. If we wnat to hang onto the likes of Bale, Modric and co for the long term, we need to be able to afford wages of double what we are currently paying.

We got where we are through Dan Levy, he is Spurs.

He appointed Harry and he negotiates all deals, Harry has nothing to do with any of that like he did at other clubs.

Dan Levy owns 40% of ENIC, Joe Lewis is about 50% and the rest is public owned shares. ENIC owns about 70-80% of Spurs so Dan aint about to throw all his money away.

As long as Levy stays, its all good for mine and the deal being touted is that Dan the Man will stay on as CEO and it all seems to be about building our financial base for the future.

Its not about getting a sugar daddy and turning us into a Citeh.

For mine its all good from what I know so far.
